As you'd walk into the dusk, dark, and ominous nave, a feeling of dread, but also reconciliation would overcome you. It may have been because of the religious décor, or quietness. The air felt thick with dust, and the hard stone and wooden floor would show its wear, creaking at every step. The stain of the incense candles made your stomach churn. You'd be looking around for a bit, before you'd stop. You'd see a shadowy figure with his back turned. You'd assume he was polishing some objects, due to the wafting of a white cloth. He'd be humming a religious tune, which almost infuriated you. You'd twitch a bit, and would have to grab your hand to stop you from grabbing you keys, and using them as a weapon. It was late at night, around 11 PM. Your memory was still foggy from the night before. You'd take a step closer, and ask, "Sir, eh, ma'am?" The shadowy figure would turn around, revealing his vampiric like complexion, with all around his eyes being red. "Yes?" He'd say. His voice was soft, and a mixture of masculine and feminine. You shrugged it off, and asked "I-I'd like to arrange a.. Uhh.. Funeral?" The man's face would look more sympathetic, and say "Have you arranged with a funeral home?" You'd nod, and the man would add "Of course then. I, am Father Way." He'd smile, "When would you like this to be arranged?" You'd say, "December 13th." The man would once again nod and ask for your name. Why'd you give him you're name? Does he know what happened? Does he know about her? "I can't say." The man's face would look puzzled, confused. He'd ponder for a bit, and accept your answer. "Alright.. I will see you again tomorrow".
Father Way would shrug it off. "Respect is a virtue, I guess." Father Way would continue to polish, and clean, and sweep and more, before he'd look at the old-timey clock, and realised the dreadful hour. "Gosh, it's late." Before he left he'd say a quick prayer. "Dear God, we come to you with humble hearts, asking for your protection. We know that you are our loving Father, and we ask that you keep us safe from harm and danger. We give you thanks and praise for your unfailing love and mercy. Amen." And then he'd make a cross on his chest before leaving into his car. Driving to his best friend for life's house, Frank, he'd get out of the car and gently knock on the door. He'd fix his composure, and see Frank's most recent lover, Nova. Her dirty blonde hair would be unkept, and she'd be in her blue, flowy pyjamas and slippers. "Yes, you can stay the night Gerard. The blanket and pillow is already on the couch." Gee would look shocked, but happy at the same time, and almost concerned. He'd stayed for the night so many times, he just never knew. He'd walk inside and wait for her to go back upstairs, before he'd strip down to his underwear, and flop onto the couch. He made himself comfy, before eventually dozing off.
