Song: Eastside by benny blanco, Halsey & Khalid
Samantha had been on edge ever since receiving that mysterious text message the other night. She had tried to push it out of her mind, but the ominous threat kept creeping back into her thoughts, weighing heavily on her.
As a result, Samantha had been avoiding her friends and family, including Colin. She couldn't bring herself to face them, consumed by the fear of what this unknown person might do. Her only refuge was the dance studio, where she could lose herself in the rhythm and movement.
Today, as Samantha was practicing a particularly complex routine with her instructor, her mind suddenly drifted, and her focus wavered. In a moment of distraction, she misjudged a step and felt her ankle twist painfully beneath her. Samantha let out a sharp cry as she crumpled to the floor.
The instructor and the other dancers rushed to her side, concern etched on their faces. "Samantha! Are you alright?" the instructor asked, gently examining her ankle.
Samantha winced in pain, but she managed a nod. "I-I think I just twisted it. I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened."
As the group fussed over Samantha, two dancers stood off to the side, whispering to each other. Samantha couldn't help but notice the smug expressions on their faces as they eyed her with a combination of disdain and amusement.
