"Ohhh he's showing off again with his racing suit, we get it Mr Professional" Edmond bellowed, laughing and pointing in my direction as I came out from the toilet block.

"Still got my helmet to go" I responded unlocking the car I'd been given access to for the track action, a Stunning British Racing Green McLaren 765LT.

"I have mine too so we're level on that"

"HANS?"

"No"

"Ha, Sucker" I laughed pulling out my helmet and HANS, passing Madison a spare HANS device as I'd probably be the world's worst boyfriend if I protected myself and not her.

Edmond jumped in his car and we set off up to the pitlane. He'd trailered his Stunning McLaren Senna up from Las Vegas. It was a beautiful exposed green carbon fibre example with a dark brown interior, a spec I loved from the minute the first owner took delivery of it and luckily I was good mates with Edmond who had since become the proud owner.

Pulling through the access road and onto pit road I got hit with a wave of memories. It felt very strange being back but equally as strange, we had wristbands 001 & 002 between me and Edmond so we were actually in the same box I was stationed in when doing the testing in the Porsche all those months ago. It bared a lot of memories having Madison with me too, right over the pit wall just out of Madison's passenger window was where we were first introduced to each other. The shy girl I saw that day was now my soulmate and the girl I hoped would be next to me through thick and thin. I jumped out and took it all in whilst doing a quick once over of the car making sure everything was in working order before checking Madison's helmet was secure and that the HANS device was comfortable for her. She had brought over her helmet that I surprised her with so it was the first test for it, It looked way better in a track setting than I could've ever imagine and she loved it so I guess after all, I could write off the £7,000 in total I spent on it. Carbon Helmets weren't the cheapest nor was the added accessories and getting it painted.

Now it was down to the lights and it wasn't long till the Green light was displayed at the pit out and we were finally on track, Edmond following closely behind.

Traction - off

It was time to have some fun.

It was like Madison could read my mind as she held onto the bolster of the seat as I snaked up through 2-3-4 and onto the straight, which she took this opportunity to grip the door handle as I approached T5, a long right hander which I arrived at with high speed, the wing rising and tilting to act as an air brake when I stamped on the brakes, flicking the car in on entry and balancing the wheel with the throttle inputs to keep the car sideways. Tyre smoke engulfed the Senna behind and the RPMS bounced as I straightened back out on exit, the Dissipating smoke revealing Edmond again as we turned onto the NASCAR cut through

"You madman, It's lap 1 and you're already sideways?" He questioned through the radios we had set up

"Well I know you, you'll be sideways by the last corner so I had to beat you to it"

Right on queue, the tyres screeched and the carbon Senna behind glistened in the sun as Edmond danced the car sideways behind me, momentarily straightening out before joined me in sending the cars sideways through the final corner.

"We'll probably get black flagged for this so get a move on" He ordered, racing up behind me to push me along. I obliged to his request and on the command of Madison's eager hands, I planted my foot over the start line.

The car squirmed under heavy T1 braking as the cars aero worked to keep the rear planted on the ground. On exit I clicked the car over to race mode making the rear wing shoot up Indefinitely in the rear view mirror which helped keep stability up through the S bend up the hill.
