Chapter 30: Unveiling the Truth-1

At Present ...

[Arnav : 26 years, Khushi: 24 years ]

Midnight..

XYZ Company,

Mumbay...

Arnav sat in his cabin in his leather chair closing his eyes with a satisfactory smile on his face..

Finally his dream is coming true..

After loads of struggle, he is here today..

Arnav felt contented with himself..

Arnav's train of thoughts breaks a little suddenly remembering something.. He hastily took out his phone but to his surprise he saw it was silent..

When he kept the phone in silence?? He could not remember, may be when he was signing the most important contract.

He scrolled down, hoping to get numerous missed calls and messages..

Indeed there was numerous missed calls and message.

Arnav began to read them, few from his mother, his nani, dadi, work related, his PA Bishal and few more. But his frown deepen not finding a single call or message from Khushi..

Strange...

Did not Khushi feel to call him for the whole entire day??

Arnav remembered that for last few months, Khushi used to remain aloof from him, as he was very very busy with his work, he did not pay much attention.. But Arnav always had said Lisa, his secretary, to keep contact with Khushi and inform him if there is any emergency.. But Lisa never mentioned anything to worry about, even for last few weeks, Khushi did not even wait for him at night.. He found empty house 3 days before when he was at home..

With a deep frown Arnav tried to call Khushi's number and found it was out of reach..

What is happening??

He was about to call Khushi again but MEERA enter in his cabin with a huge smile on her face...

Arnav kept the phone aside and looked at Meera.

"What is it? Why you are still not home?" Arnav asked while shutting down his computer almost ready to go home.

"What? I have hurt my ankle and you are expecting to go home alone?" Meera said while coming to Arnav's side.

Arnav shook his head while hurriedly standing up to leave, ready to go home, to his Khushi, "Come on Meera, I personally took you to emergency and it was clearly revealed there is nothing serious. Pain killers is there to sooth the remaining discomfort. I hope I am clear, now please leave and have a sound sleep."

Arnav clearly dismissed her without sugarcoating his words, he had enough of her tantrum throughout the project.

He is exhausted. If it was not for Meera Deb'a father, who is a mentor to Arnav, he would not have tolerated her .

"Arnav.. It's not fair.. today we sign the contract and it needs celebration." Meera pouted making Arnav groan internally.

" Our team have already celebrated Ms Meera Deb, where you accidentally got hurt and we rush to hospital.. Remember?" Arnav jab but Meera choose to ignore instead Meera came close to Arnav whisper, " But I am talking about celebration of US, you and me, our private celebration."
