Chapter 29: Decisions

At Present ...

Mumbai....

XYZ Hospital..

ICU..

Evening 7 P.M.

[Arnav : 26 years, Khushi: 24 years ]

Buaji's pale diseased body was lying on bed, she was merely breathing. Khushi with trembling hand, holds buaji's hand when slowly Buaji open her eyes.. With so much love and adoration and suddenly Khushi realized, she truly don't have anyone apart from Buaji whom she can call her own...

Realization struck hard bringing out the stream of tears from her eyes...

Few moments later...

Khushi was sitting outside ICU where buaji's cold body is kept. Finally buaji lost the battle of life succumbing death. Khushi remembered the adoration in buaji's eyes and the satisfactory smile on her face, thinking that Khushi is in safe hand of Arnav.

Even in her last time, buaji was searching for Arnav's presence. Khushi did not feel to make buaji worried in her this stage, so she conveniently told Arnav was outside all the time, just now went for a very important work... Buaji smiled and finally closed her eyes with the news that Khushi is carrying a new life with her and thinking that Arnav is the best partner her Khushi would have ever get.

Khushi was motionless, not able to think properly when someone clear his throat besides her..

"You have to stay outside for sometimes, we have to complete the official works now. Do you have any more relatives who are coming to see your aunt? Or we proceed for the next ?" The on duty physician asked.

Khuhsi took a deep breath and said, " tell me what is the next procedure? I will complete those.."

Khushi was sitting outside the hospital room after completing the official works, when she felt few pairs of foot are coming hurriedly towards her.

Kaya, Khushi's colleague and Her husband almost ran towards her. Kaya was among few of the persons, who knew that Khushi was married to Arnav.

" Why did not you tell us before?" Kaya hugged Khushi's numb body almost immediately.

" I did not want to bother you with my burden.." Khushi's whisper almost tore Kaya's heart. She actually did not knew how to console Khushi in this situation. Breaking the hug, Kaya searched for someone, but her eyes became hard seeing Khushi alone in the situation.

" Today too Arnav did not came?" This time Kaya's husband Barun asked with disbelief in his voice.

" He is busy... Can you both help me arrange the funeral? I actually don't know anyone/ any place here..." Khushi said like a robot.

Exchanging glances between them, Kaya and Barun controlled their rage which they felt that moments against Arnav and said, " Don't worry.. We are here.. You are not alone now..."

After almost 1 hour, when Khushi along with Kaya and Barun were coming out from the hospital along with Buaji's dead body, from a distance they saw, Arnav's SUV stopped infront of the hospital gate and Arnav came out.

Khushi felt her heart skip a beat. She thought finally Arnav came to visit buaji after seeing the message.. May be he was busy in his work, so busy that he truly missed all the desperate messages and frantic call. Finally when Arnav came to know about the mishap, he is here. Khushi was about to run towards Arnav when Arnav open the passenger seat and help the person to came out from the car.
