Chapter 27: Life goes on

Another 2 years Later...

Mumbai....

XYZ Hospital..

ICU..

Evening 7 P.M.

[ Arnav : 26 years, Khushi: 24 years ]

Khushi was standing outside the ICU where her Buaji was being treated. She is here for almost 3 months now and since the last two weeks her condition is very serious. The consultant has already said that Khushi should prepare herself, that this time her buaji may not overcome this critical condition. Khushi herself knew that, even her buaji too.. Khushi felt her eyes pricked again, but she took a deep breath to control herself.. No, she can not loose herself in agony, not again.. She has to hold herself up, gather herself for her and her Arnav's "symbol of love"...

Arnav...

His name bring a bitter sweet ache in her heart..

Once his name used to give her solace but now, an aching pain is constant and sometimes it tears her apart whenever Khushi thinks about Arnav, about their relationship and about the last 2 years.

She recalled the changes that happened in last 2 years, since the time she and her buaji were permanently shifted in Mumbai.

Khushi clearly remember the day when she first told Arnav that she has taken a job in Mumbai and shifting her with Buaji.. The joy in Arnav's face, his happiness and love overwhelmed Khushi too.. and those promises..

Arnav placed a tender kiss on Khushi's forehead muttering, " Mon Amour"[ My Love] while Khushi just hold Arnav tightly with her everything, closing her eyes Khushi prayed to her deity for a life head with her Arnav..

" Tu es mon amour" [ You are my love] Arnav whispered again before capturing Khushi's lips in a tender kiss with a promise of togetherness.

Now when Khushi remembers those days, it felt like a dream, it felt like it was someone else's story.. it felt like it was, Arnav whom she always desired, dreamt off, but the reality is quite different...

Khushi closed her eyes as the incidents from last 2 years played in front of her eyes as if it's just happened yesterday...

Flashback...

2 years ago...

Khushi and Buaji's shifting to Mumbai was an quick affair as Arnav was eager to have Khushi besides him and Khushi was eager to start Buaji's treatment. Within one month, Khushi started her new job as a teacher in Mumbai, along with buaji's treatment started and Khushi's online dance class also continue.. Arnav was Khushi's pillar of strength just like Khushi was Arnav's.

Their 2 bedroom small apartment soon turn into a happy , sweet home. Buaji with the Khushi and Arnav's help along with treatment was happy and besides seeing Arnav's care towards Khushi, made buaji assured that Khushi will be not alone after her demise.

The whole day Khushi and Arnav used to busy in their respective jobs, then evening time Khushi would help buaji with dinner and Arnav used to busy himself with office work... but after dinner time was their time..
