Alright, so, I'm back from hibernation, and this one is probably gonna be kinda confusing.
this kind of goes for all fandoms I'm 'part' of, but I, personally, am generally not a big fan of OC x Canon characters. A lot of the time when I'm reading a fanfic and a OC is brought in as the love interest as one of the canon characters it can really put me off fanfics, especially if done in a way that makes the oc a perfect fault-less character who is the definition of "I can fix him" and "POOKIE STOP! THIS ISN'T YOU!!"
another thing I don't like when it's OC x Canon is when they change the character'sn entire personality to make it so they would actually LIKE the OC, I don't see this often, but when I do I start ripping out my hair and spasaming on the ground like a cockroach doused in bugspray. I'm just a hayter fr 😋😔
BUT!!!
if it's done right, I will eat it up just as much as canon character x canon character. I am blessed by the fact I don't come across much cringe OC x Canon characters anymore, and most of the stuff I find is well written/well made.
So I guess this isn't a rant as such, kind of just a random opinion I have :)
But I swear to got if I see another one of those cringe ahh ones again I will start world war 3 and make fallout (by bethesda, if you don't know the game search it up) happen irl
