Long Distance PT2

Ona's POV:

Ever since me and Isla said we'd be friend's, which was 9 months ago. We talk on the phone but with our seasons being busy and international games being busy, we don't get time to meet up which sucks but I guess that's life. 

I'm currently at Alexia's with Mapi and Ingrid. Their cuddling on the sofa while Alexia is in the kitchen. Keira should be here soon and Lucy would be too but she plays for Chelsea now. Keira walks in and flops beside me. "God, I'm tired. Me and Luce were talking till 2 in the morning" said Keira, rubbing her eyes.

"You should have had some sleep" I said. "I know but I miss her" said Keira. "Aw" I said, cooing.  "How are you and Isla?" asked Keira. "Fine. We talk on the phone everyday but we don't have time to travel to one another" I said, nodding. "That sucks" said Keira. 

We enjoy our day at Alexia's before I head home. I see that I have a missed call from Isla but then see she posted on Instagram.

Unitedfan: damn cheated on Ona and moved on with the woman she cheated with? ew 

I gasp and turn my phone off. I hear a knock on my door and I open it to see Alexia. "Have you seen Isla's post?" asked Alexia. "Yeah. I have" I said. "I'm sorry" said Alexia. "I'm upset but I thought she wanted to get back together when we're back at the level we were at" I said.

We sit down and I rub my face. "I don't know what else I can do. I don't think I can be friends with her" I said. "Then don't, because you deserve better" said Alexia, hugging me. I hug back and then she goes to the spare room. 

I lie on my bed and sigh. I go on my phone and see Isla has messaged me.

From Isla

I'm sorry.... I never meant for you to find out through instagram but you missed my calls

To Isla

I don't think we should be friends. I thought we'd get back together once our trust was built but you obviously had other plans. 

From Isla

Ona, please. We can still be friends

To Isla

I'm sorry but I can't. You've broken my heart again and I won't live through it again. Your happy and I don't need you

Bye.

I block her number and block her on all my social media. I put my phone down and fall asleep.

With that I focus on football and when a new signing for Barcelona enters the training facility, I know she plays for Spain but the U23s. 

"Hi, I'm Maya" said Maya, smiling. "Ona, welcome to Barcelona! What club were you in before now?" I ask. "Man United, I signed last season but I was always on the bench" said Maya. I nod. "That sucks" I said. "Yeah but Barca saw me before that and saw my skills so United hasn't ruined my career." said Maya.

With that, me and Maya end up becoming best friends and I begin feeling something.  

"Ona.... I like you in a romantic way and I know your last relationship didn't go well and stuff but I want to take you on a date?" asked Maya. "I like you too and yes, I'd love that" I said.

We go on dates and we become official 3 months into us dating. 

I don't owe Isla anything so I post on Instagram.
