Being the sister to Leah Williamson isn't easy because she is pretty much known everywhere and because of that, so am I. Me and Leah are close, I'm 26 and Leah is 27. We grew up close and we got into a lot of trouble.
One thing with Leah, she told me her team mates are off limits and I was ok with it because I didn't think anyone would be my type.
What a lie that was, because when I met Lia Wälti I instantly fell for her. I kept it a secret and it's been a while since we met and I still feel the same. I wish I had the guts to tell her but I can't.
"Hey, Maisie, Lia is coming over to have a sleepover, you ok with it?" asked Leah, walking inside my room. "Yeah, I am" I said, nodding. Leah smiles and heads downstairs. I sigh and go find an outfit. I pull on jeans, a tank top and vans. I curl my hair and leave it natural.
I smile and head downstairs and then I have breakfast. Once I finish, I clean up and hear the front door open. Lia walks inside and wow, she looks amazing. "Hey Maisie, you ok?" asked Lia. "Yeah" I said, smiling. I finish cleaning and then head to my room to clean that.
I clean my room while listening to Taylor Swift. Once I finish, I head downstairs and see Leah and Lia cooking and dancing. I laugh and head inside. "You two are shit dancers" I said, smiling. Lia jumps and blushes. "Wally, your 31 and blushing, wow" said Leah, laughing. "Shut up" said Lia. I smile and go sit on the counter. "Mai! Get off the counter!" said Leah, throwing the tea towel at me. I smirk and get down.
"Fine but I'm going to watch tv" I said. "Go, your getting in the way" said Leah, laughing. I laugh and I go sit on the sofa. I turn on Gossip Girl and settle down. I hear laughs and I look at my hands. I need a date. I hear my phone and see that my ex, who I'm friends with still wants to meet up as a date. I sigh and text back back yes.
It can't hurt to try a date with her. I head to my room and see my ex, Jade sent me where I'm going. I smile and find outfit.

I pull on my drink dress and white heels. I curl my hair and do light make up. I grab my bag and head downstairs. "Hey, where are you going?" asked Leah. Lia is looking at me, blushing. "Um, I'm meeting Jade for a date" I said. "Oh, enjoy. Be careful" said Leah. Lia just looks down and shakes her head.
I get in the Uber and when I get to the restaurant, I see Jade and I head over to her. I sit down and she smiles. "Thanks for saying yes" said Jade. "No problem" I said. I order a glass of white wine and then Jade smiles.
"Anyone special?" asked Jade. "No. I like someone but can never be with her." I said. "Why?" asked Jade. "She's Leah's team mate for Arsenal, Lia Wälti" I said. "And why haven't you told her?" asked Jade. "I don't know, Leah has warned me from dating her team mates for England and Arsenal." I said.
"Maisie, you can't let Leah keep you away from love" said Jade. I shrug. I spot Jade looking to the side and I frown. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Lia Wälti is over there, by herself" said Jade. I turn slightly and gasp.
"What the fuck" I said. "Ignore her. Do you think she likes you?" asked Jade. I shrug. Jade smirks and nods. I feel her foot on my leg and her taking my hand. "Your beautiful" said Jade. I blush and look down.
"Maisie. We have to go. I want to talk" said Lia, standing beside us. "Go. I'll pay for your wine" said Jade. I nod. I follow Lia outside and we head to a park. "Where does Leah think you are?" I ask.
"The shops buying goodies, which I did. They are in my car" said Lia. "Lia, why did you interrupt me and Jade?" I ask. "I couldn't stand seeing you with her" said Lia, looking at me. "Why?" I ask. "I like you, and I mean romantically and I just.... I couldn't bare the thought of you going back to her" said Lia.
"I uh.... I like you too, but we can't be together" I said. "Why?" asked Lia. "Leah told me to not date her team mates" I said. "Leah can't boss you around and if you like me, let's go for it" said Lia. I look in her eyes and nod. "Ok. I want to try" I said, smiling. "Now, I better go home, wanna join me?" asked Lia. I nod.
We get back and I just tell Leah, me and Jade ended earlier and I saw Lia in the shops and she drove me home. I go get changed and then I hear my door open. "Hey" said Lia. I turn and smile. "Hi" I said. Lia walks over and places her hands on my cheeks. "Your beautiful" said Lia. I blush and look down. "So are you" I said. Lia smiles and pulls me in.
We share a kiss and I feel content. We pull apart and then we head downstairs. We sit down and watch a random movie. Once it's over and I go to bed. I lie on my bed and smile. Maybe me and Lia will be together forever.
Me and Lia went on dates and became official soon after.
We just celebrated our 6 month anniversary and we still have to tell Leah. Me and Lia are hanging out at home while Leah is out with mum and Jordan. We lie on my bed, cuddling. "I love you" said Lia. "I love you too" I said, smiling. We lean in and share a kiss. We don't realise Leah is home.
"Hey guys, what do you want for..... WHAT THE FUCK?!" shouted Leah. We jump and I look at Leah. "Leah.... me and Wally, we're dating for 6 months" I said, looking at her. "Did you not know the rules?" asked Leah.
"Please, don't be mad. I can't help how I feel.... please don't hate me" I said, nearly crying. Leah walks over and sits down. "I-I..... I can't lie I'm annoyed but mainly because you kept it from me" said Leah. "Your not mad?" I ask, feeling Lia rub my back.
"If you had to date any of my teammates, I'm happy it's Lia. Next time don't keep something from me" said Leah. "I wont" I said. We share hugs and then have dinner together.
2 years later me and Lia get married in Switzerland.
