Your POV:

I've been dating Aitana Bonmati for 3 years. We met while I was playing for Arsenal and was on holiday in Barcelona. When Real Madrid signed me, Aitana was a bit shocked I joined Real Madrid but she said she supported me. 

It's been 3 years and we're happy. Today we're playing Barcelona and it's going to be tough. I sit on the bus beside Melanie Leupolz who joined during the summer. "You ok?" asked Melanie. "Yeah, every year I get nervous facing Barcelona, playing against Aitana is hard" I said. "I say it is but it'll be fine" said Melanie.

We arrive and head inside. We get our kits on and the warm up top on. We head out and do the warm ups. Once we finish, we head inside and then we get fully ready. Once we line up, Aitana nods at me and I nod back. 

We step out onto our home soil and I smile. I love playing here and I will never get over how I play here. We kick off and I know this will be a fight. 

As I run into the box, Melanie passes me the ball and I tap it into the goal. I smile and jump on Melanie! "Brilliant assist!" I said, smiling. "Let's go!" said Melanie. We get back to it and eventually I score another two goals before half time,

Our half time speech is basically to do the same but make sure we're tight in defence. We head back out and get back to it. We work hard at defending and we make sure we keep Aitana quiet. By the time the full whistle blows, we're tired. We managed to score one goal in the second as did Barcelona through Mapi. It ended 4-1. 

We shake hands with Barcelona players before clapping for the fans. W head inside and we have showers and get ready. I head home and wait for Aitana. I get changed into comfortable clothes and lie on the sofa. I hear my phone beep.

From Aitana

hey can't make it. going back to barca tonight instead of tomorrow

To Aitana

are you you ok? babe.... you always come here after this match

From Aitana

I just want to go home. bye have to go.

I turn my phone off and I shake my head. I pull my hair into a bun and lie back down. This is the first time we won against them. I go to bed and fall asleep.

Weeks go by and it's now international break and I got called up for Spain. I arrive and see Alexia and Aitana. I walk over but Aitana walks away. I sigh and Alexia takes my hand. "She's finding it tough losing to Real Madrid" said Alexia. "She won't talk to me" I said. "She's hurting and I've tried to tell her to talk to you but she's stubborn" said Alexia. 

"I don't care anymore. If she wants to be like this, she can. I'm done trying" I said. I head inside and get my keys. I'm sharing with Ona. I head to the room and had inside. I sit down and sigh. Ona walks in and smiles. "Hey!" said Ona. "Hey, how are you?" I ask. "Good. Obviously losing to Real Madrid was shit but we'll get revenge" said Ona. I laugh and shake my head. 

"Um.... have you spoken to Aitana?" asked Ona. "I've tried but she hasn't. So I'm done trying. I don't care anymore. I get it sucks but we promised to not let this get between us if it ever happened" I said. "I get that, she should be able to leave it on the pitch" said Ona. I shrug and we head down for training once we change. I stick with Ona for the training. 

Dinner is fin, maybe a bit awkward. I head to the team relaxation room and sit on a bean bag. I watch Aitana come in with Laia and I shrug. I play with my fingers before standing up. "I'm off to bed" I said to Ona. Ona nods and I had to our room.

I lie under my covers after getting changed and fall asleep.

Th first match against Canada was sadly a loss. Back at the hotel, I lie on the sofa playing with my hair. I watch Aitana walk in. She looks at me and looks away. I sit up. "You know what, Tana.... if your going to ignore me you can just tell me.... are we over?" I ask, looking at her.

"What do you over?" asked Aitana. "You've not spoken to me since the Real Madrid v Barcelona match and you expect me to believe we're still together?" I ask. "I.... of course we're still together" said Aitana. "Oh are we? So what? Your ignoring me for weeks and you think I expect us to still be together?" I ask.

"Look I just.... I couldn't handle losing" said Aitana. "Then you talk to me instead of ignoring me and making me think we're over!" I said, nearly shouting. "Babe....." said Aitana. "No! You've made me feel like shit but your just insecure or stupid" I said. I stand up and begin to walk out. "Babe! Please.... I am sorry I should have acted like an adult and not like a kid. I am so, so sorry please don't leave me" said Aitana. I sigh and turn. "I love you, Tana but you have to promise to never do that to me again" I said, walking over to her. "I promise" said Aitana. We share a kiss. 

We do win against Australia and then we head back to our respective clubs. 

After that, Barcelona did beat us at their home but we made sure that we talked it out instead of ignoring each other.
