FAMILY GATHERING PREPS

"Nelsea we have to wake up early tomorrow. We have a lot to do." My mom said. "How early?" I asked. "Before sunrise." She replied. I laughed in disagreement. I went to bed and didn't set an alarm.

When I woke up it was long past sunrise, it was 09.47 'my gosh mommy is going to shout at me.' I thought to myself. I did my bed, brushed my teeth, washed my face then went downstairs.

My mom was peeling potatoes. "I thought you'd wake me up." I said to my mom. "I told you to wake up early, I thought you heard me. Your breakfast is in the oven." She said. "Thank you." I took my food and went to the TV room. I watched cartoons while eating.

After eating I took a quick shower then helped my mom with the cooking. "What time will everyone be around?" I asked my mom. "At around one pm." She replied.
"Mommy may you please not mention anything about my sexuality to anyone today."
"Why would I?" She asked and I didn't respond.

My phone rang.

Nel: Hi Dudu
Jordan: hi Didi. I'm hope you're good what will you be doing today.
Nel: I'm helping my mama with the cooking, we're preparing for the family gathering remember
Jordan: Oh yea. Ok then I'll be there now now if that's ok with you.
Nel: sure. We need extra hands anyways (I laughed.)

My mom's sister came early, she's probably here to help my mom because she knows how lazy I am. Jordan arrived and we were tidying up the house together while my mom and aunt were cooking.

"Friend guess what?" Jordan said looking excited. "You're pregnant?" I teased. "Not yet." We both laughed.
Jordan: Daniel likes me. He told me last night.
Nel:what? How? I don't believe you.
Jordan:I promise you. I'd show you the text but he actually called to tell me.
Nel: wow I'm so happy for you.
Jordan: Don't worry friend you'll get yourself a partner soon, maybe Liz likes you who knows.
Nel: haha never, even if she does, not after what happened.

Jordan asked me to tell her everything that happened that night, she ran out of words when I was done. "I also have a confession to make." Jordan said. "I'm listening."

"Remember that night we went to Daniel's place? Daniel and I kissed and we did more." She confessed. "What's more?" I asked. "We did more Nel, come on you're not a baby." She said and I laughed. "I don't believe this! So why didn't he tell you he likes you then?" I asked Jordan. "We were in a hurry, we were both too concupiscent." She said with a smile.
My mom walked in and we looked at each other hoping she didn't hear a thing.

"Honey you gonna have to get ready, everyone might be here anytime from now." She said looking at me then walked out. "I think I'll also get going." Jordan said. I escorted her to her car then went in to take a bath.

After bathing I called my cousin to tell her how I can't wait see her. "Hey Isabel! Oh my I hope you're near." I said in excitement. "I'm sorry Nel but I'm not coming. I really wanted to but I couldn't make it. We have science extra classed today and it something I'm really struggling with." She said sounding very sad. I felt like crying, she's the only cousin that I'm very close with. I was going to be bored throughout the day.

I went downstairs to help my mom and aunt with what wasn't done yet before everyone else arrived.
