I woke up to the sound of knocking on my door. "Hello?" I heard someone call. "I have a delivery for one Tim from room 702."

"Just leave it at the door," I said in reply. "I'll get it later."

Once I heard the delivery person leave, I got dressed and went to open the door. When I did, I found a small brown package on the ground with a note attached to it. The message on the note read, "I have been told that keeping in contact with one's child is good for maintaining a healthy relationship. Therefore, I have provided you with this phone with which you may call me. I have included a note in the package on which is written my phone number. -Officer"

The phone was an old flip phone with calling and time telling functions but nothing else. Checking the phone number given to me in the note, I punched in the numbers to call Officer about something. The phone rang for a few seconds, and then Officer answered the call.

"Hello, who is this?" he asked.

"It's Tim," I said. "I have a question about this phone."

"If it's about the model, I'm not giving you a newer one," Officer said.

"It's not that," I said. "I want to know what this phone's number is."

Officer told me, and I wrote it on a piece of paper before thanking him and hanging up. Once I was left in silence, I started thinking about what I could do with the phone. I already had my own, but I couldn't just throw it away. That would be rude, plus the flip phone was the only way Officer could contact me at the moment. Eventually, I decided that I would just keep both phones on me at the moment. I could give Officer the number to my cell phone later, and then I could probably just leave the flip phone in my dorm.

It was Sunday, which meant that I had a self-mandated club meeting to attend. It would be fun. The cooking club was going to discuss what it would sell at the play, after all. I was the only member though, so it resulted in a rather interesting sight.

"Well then team," I said. "Two weeks until the play, so let's get planning." I'd found an empty classroom, and with the teacher's permission, had commandeered it for my "club meeting". There were empty seats arrayed in front of me, and if the fact that they were empty was ignored, it really felt like I was addressing a group of club members. Talking to myself helped me organize my thoughts, anyway.

"We've been told that we can sell food that won't make a mess and isn't loud by Louis," I announced. "He suggested popcorn, which I could argue is neither, but he's the boss of the drama club. Anyways, are there any suggestions for what else we could sell?" There was silence for a few minutes as I thought, and then I pointed to one of the seats as though one of my imaginary audience members had said something.

"Ah yes, drinks!" I exclaimed. "As long as we contain it well, it should be fine. We do know how to make some." After pretending to listen to someone speak, I continued speaking. "Yes, but that takes time. We can do stuff like juice and tea, maybe even something like a milkshake? There's a problem with what you suggested though. While that would be fun to do, that takes time that we do not have. Additionally, I do not think that we would be allowed to sell alcohol to minors."

"What!" I heard someone shout. They burst through the door, and when I looked, I realized that it was the zebra from the drama club. "You better not sell alcohol at the play! Nobody here's of drinking age yet!"

"Relax, we already decided that we wouldn't do it," I said. "Isn't that right?" I directed my question to the empty seats, which visibly confused the zebra.

"Who are you talking to?" she asked. "There's nobody here."

I just couldn't resist my urges when I heard that. As wickedly as I could, I silently turned to her, smiled, and tilted my head. "Who said there was nobody here?" I asked. "We're all here." I may have overdone it, because instead of just being a little startled, the zebra girl turned tail and ran out of the room.
