The group emerged atop a decrepit skyscraper, its structure leaning precariously to one side, as if it might collapse at any moment. The landscape spread out before them like a scene from an apocalyptic nightmare. This was a world in ruins, yet with a strange, cyberpunk-like beauty. Towering buildings, their glass facades shattered and twisted, jutted out at odd angles. The sky above was a dark, ominous red, streaked with black clouds that crackled with lightning. The air was thick with the scent of burning metal and the distant hum of forgotten machines, giving the city an eerie, almost post-human feel.

Harley stood on the edge of the rooftop, her eyes wide with awe and a hint of trepidation. "Whoa... this is... so not Gotham," she muttered, taking in the alien world around her. "Am I dreaming or did we just walk into the end of the world?"

Supergirl, her eyes scanning the horizon, remained silent, the weight of their situation pressing down on her. Despite having traveled through multiple dimensions before, there was something about this place that made even her seasoned heart skip a beat. Batman, as usual, was stoic, but the tightness in his jaw suggested he was not unaffected by their surroundings.

Lightning stood apart from the group, his eyes reflecting the crimson sky as he gazed down at the desolate city. Supergirl took a tentative step toward him, her voice soft yet urgent. "Lightning, please... stop this. You don't have to do this."

For a fleeting moment, something in Lightning's expression softened, as if Supergirl's plea had reached a part of him he thought long buried. But then his gaze flicked to Dreamer, who was still recovering from Supergirl's earlier intervention, and the softness in his eyes hardened into something else—something darker.

"You lost the opportunity to plead with me when you chose a side." Lightning walked past her his presence still radiant a dominant aura.

"Lightning..." Supergirl's voice trailed off.

Lightning stopped in front of Wonder Woman and Superman and glanced at Wonder Woman. "If you're so hasty to die with him so be it, I'll take you both out. Without another word, Lightning began to move, his form blurring as he shot away from the group, with Superman and Wonder Woman following closely behind. Batman moved to pursue them, his mind already racing with strategies.

As they disappeared into the ruined cityscape below, Harley, Supergirl, and Dreamer were left standing on the rooftop. The tension between them was palpable, thickening the air with unspoken words and unresolved feelings.

Dreamer was the first to break the silence, her voice sharp with anger and frustration. "Why did you protect her, Kara? Why did you protect Wonder Woman instead of stopping her from attacking Lightning?"

Supergirl bristled, her defenses rising. "I was trying to keep everyone safe, Dreamer. This isn't about picking sides—it's about preventing a disaster."

Harley, sensing an opportunity to stir the pot, smirked and chimed in, "Or maybe you just don't want her to know what's really going on between you and Lightning, huh, Dreamer? Maybe you're too busy keeping your own little secrets that you're looking to distract her with a different kind of drama."

Dreamer shot Harley a glare, but the jester's words had already struck a nerve. Supergirl turned to Dreamer, confusion and suspicion clouding her features. "What is she talking about, Dreamer? What secrets?"

Caught off guard, Dreamer hesitated, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. "It's nothing, Kara. Just... just drop it."

Harley wasn't about to let it go. "Oh come on, Dreamer, you know what I'm talking about." Her grin widened, cat-like. "You and Sparky had a little... encounter, didn't you? Back when he was still with Kara?"
