Lightning stood atop the golden Superman statue, gazing out over the bustling city of Metropolis. The wind rustled his hair, and he felt a presence behind him. Turning slightly, he saw Superman descending from the sky, his cape billowing in the breeze.

"Annoying." Lightning thought to himself as he scoffed when Superman landed behind him.

"Well, if it isn't the golden boy Scott himself," Lightning quipped, his tone dripped with sarcasm.

Superman landed gracefully beside him, his expression stern. "What are you doing in my city Lightning?"

"What a guy can't sightsee these days? I swear you goody two shoes are always so uptight." Lightning replied.

"Your reputation precedes you, so I'll ask again, what is your purpose here."

Lightning shrugged, not bothering to turn around fully. "Oh, you know, like I said just sightseeing. The city's got a certain charm, don't you think?"

Superman frowned. "You and I both know that's not why you're here. What's your real reason?"

Lightning smirked, still not looking at him. "Fine, let's just say I was here to catch up with an old friend, and now I'm sightseeing."

Superman gave up trying to figure Lightning out and crossed his arms.

"Just behave yourself while you're here," Superman said, his tone bordering on a warning.

Lightning's smile faded, and he finally turned to face Superman, his eyes narrowing. "Behave myself? I'm not some kid, Clark."

Before Superman could manage a response a loud commotion erupted below them. Out of seemingly nowhere goons wearing white masks with grotesque painted smiles, reminiscent of the Joker, started terrorizing people in the square. Their attire was a that of a chaotic mix of bright colors and ragged clothing, adding to their menacing appearance.

Superman's super hearing picked up the screams, and without a second thought, he sprang into action, diving towards the chaos. Lightning watched for a moment, a mixture of irritation and amusement on his face.

"Always the hero Clarkie.. pathetic." Lightning sighed jumping down for a better view.

Superman swiftly disarmed the goons, his movements a blur but with great precisions Lightning landed nearby, crossing his arms as he watched.

"You know, you could just fry them with your heat wave and save everyone the trouble." Lightning called out, his voice carrying over the noise. "Or punch a hole in their chest ripping their heart out, that's a favourite."

Superman ignored him, focusing on subduing the attackers without causing unnecessary harm. Lightning rolled his eyes.

"Even a strong backhand can send their heads flying." Lightning chuckled.

Suddenly, the sound of an alarm filled the air. A nearby bank was being raided, and Lightning hesitated for a split second as this is not his city to be bothered with, and he's not really keen on Superman micromanaging everything he does.

Superman made his way towards the heart of the alarm and Lightning followed suit, making his way to the scene. Inside, Superman was already confronting a new group of goons.

"Put the money down and step away," Superman ordered, his voice firm.

One of the goons, panicking, grabbed a nearby woman and held a gun to her head. "Back off, or she dies!"

Superman froze, his eyes narrowing. "You don't want to do this."

"Oh for bloody sakes" Lightning said.
