You were sitting next to Nico on the couch in the living room.
"The twins ask about their dad today" you said and Nico looked at you "How?" he asked "They just ask me who he is and where he is" you said "What did you tell them?" he asked "Nothing 'cause I didn't know what to tell them" you said before letting out a sigh.
"I can't tell them what my dad told me" you said "What did he say?" he asked.
"My dad found the guy I met at the bar, we were both drunk and had a one night stand" you said and Nico nodded "My dad told the guy about me and the babies. And the guy just laugh in his face, saying that I meant nothing but a single hook-up. I meant nothing to him, just like the twins meant nothing to him. And I should get rip of them" you said "What an asshole" Nico said "Yeah" you nodded "It's just weird that I fell for him if he was like that" you said "You were drunk Y/n, it was just a one-night stand. I don't think you were really in love with him" he said "The only good things that came out of that was Elliott and Jamie. And I'm so grateful for that" you let out a sigh.
"My dad then told me the truth" you said and he looked at you "I thought that was the truth" he said "That it the story he told me to protect me" you said before you took a deep breath and told Nico what your dad told you.
"Holy" Nico's eyes widened "Yeah" you nodded "But don't worry, I wouldn't let him lay a finger on you or the twins. I promise" he said and you smiled
"I just want my kids to be happy, be safe. I want them to have so much love, and I just feel like I'm not giving them enough love, which is why I hope that their dad could at least be there" you said "Y/n" Nico grab your hand which cause you to look at him.
"Yeah, Jamie and Elliott are great kids and they deserve the best of the world. And a child deserve both of their parents' love. But sometimes that can't happen. And a kid don't need both of its parents' love, they just need one. And you love those kids more than anything, you are the most wonderful mom for them. Your love is bigger than two parents' love" you smiled over his words.
You then leaned your body against his while you snuggled up against his chest "Thank you for being here. I'm glad that I met you" you said "I'm glad that I met you too. And you can always count on me" he wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer.
"If I ever meet that asshole that left someone as beautiful as you, and wonderful as the kids, I'm going to punch him" he said and you chuckled "He is not worth it" you took a deep breath.
"Beside I hope I never meet him again. I can't look at him without it hurting" you said "I know that they are not my kids by blood, but I care for them like they my are own" you looked at Nico "I know you do, and they like you too" you smiled.
"Listen, I know I might never filled out the rule that the twins' dad did, but I will do my best" he said and you smiled "You're a great guy Nico. And I trust you" you said and he smiled before kissing you.
