The sound of gun sounded through the driveway area, cutting Reginald of as he spoke.
He looked stunned for a moment before his body started to give up limply. With the twins' body crashed to the floor, their wails growing louder.
Quickly Five and you reached down to scoop them up, Five scoop Jamie up while you scoop Elliott up.
"It's okay, sweethearts" you and Five comfort the twins that was crying into your arms.
You and Five looked forward to see Nico lowering the gun before he drop it.
"Are you guys okay?" he approached you "Yeah, thank you Nico" you smiled "No mention it" he smiled.
"The world is better off without him" Luther said as you were all looking at Reginald's dead body that was laying on the floor.
"Well, well" a voice said which cause you all to turn and see Gene and Jean "He is dead, that is good" Jean looked at Reginald's dead body on the floor. A bullet hole through his chest.
"But we can see who is still alive" Jean looked at you and the others.
"The twins was supposed to die in the fight" Gene said "Are you two completely insane, they are six years old. They are just little kids" you said "Kids with great power, and that can easy destroy the world" Jean said "Only if they are lead down the wrong and dark path, but we are not going to do that" Five said "We will raise them right" you said.
"Listen, it's over okay, the Cleanse is dead, okay. It's over" Nico said "It's not over as long as the twins and those people are still breathing" Jean pointed on Five and the others .
"This will only end one way"
It was happened in a second. Gene pulled out a gun before he pointed it at Five.
"NO!"
The sound of a gunshot was heard as Nico just reach to jump in between the bullets so he was hit instead of you and Five.
"NICO!" you cried out as Nico fell to the floor.
"Bastered" Diego said before he quickly throw one of his knives and hit Gene in the head while Lila blink behind Jean and snap her neck.
"Nico" you put your hand on the gunshot wound. He was hit right in the lungs.
"We have to get him to the hospital" you said "I wouldn't make it" Nico grunt as blood started coming out of his mouth "He is right the bullet, it has hit his lungs. He wouldn't last a minute" Five said with a sad expression.
Lila and Klaus pressed Jamie and Elliott into their chest so they wouldn't see the sight.
"I'm so sorry for betraying you" Nico looked at you "I was so stupid" he said "But you also help us" you said "I don't understand why you are not happy over that I'm going to die. I betrayed you" he said "I'm not that kind of person. Yeah you did, but you also help us. You saved me, the twins. You saved my family" you said "You really are someone special" Nico said "That she is" Five nodded.
