"So how are we feeling today?" Dr Abigail Wells asked.
"Fine", Ivy replied, staring at a worn spot on the carpet, trying to stop her knee from jiggling. All day she had this feeling that something was going to happen and it had only gotten worse the second she'd stepped into her therapist's office.
"Just fine?" the older witch gently pressed "I would think after every that had happened..." the 17 year old's head snapped up.
"I'm fine", she gritted out. Voldemort was dead. She killed him. End of story. So why did people feel the need to harass her on what it was like or how she felt? Why couldn't they just leave her alone?
"Robyn keeping yourself bottled up isn't healthy", Dr Wells tried again.
"I'm fine", Ivy repeated, firmly, not even bothering to correct her. She was going by Ivy Snape on a trial basis to her brothers and some of her friends, just to see how it felt. Truth be told she still wasn't sure if the name was really her. For so long she'd been going by Robyn Blackthorn that she didn't know anything else. Then she went to Hogwarts where she learned she was a Potter.
Only for everything to be tipped upside down in her third year by her biological father of all people. She knew he didn't mean to say anything, he just blurted it out during the whole werewolf fiasco. Instead of pretending like it never happened afterward, Severus Snape actually wanted to build a father-daughter relationship. Though of course it had to kept quiet, lest the wrong people figure out they're related, especially Mr No Nose.
The ginger fiercely wiped away a couple of tears that dared to escape. "I'm fine, Dr Wells", she said again, this time getting to her feet "I'm alive. Voldemort isn't. That's all there is to it". The teen then stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut, effectively telling the psychiatrist that the session was over.
Dr Wells sighed "great going Abigail", she muttered. She had hoped that now You-Know-Who was dead, that her patient would finally open up to her. Boy was she mistaken.
Ivy passed by Caleb and Harry, giving neither of them a glance. "Is everything o-" her twin was cut off with her slipping into the ladies. He glanced at the older wizard "I'm gonna say everything is not ok", he remarked. The dirty blond sighed, setting aside a copy of the Daily Prophet, got up from the chair and headed into Dr Wells' office. "Oh, boy... Dr Wells is in trouble", Harry murmured. Sure enough, he could hear Ivy's adoptive big brother yelling at the poor witch through the thin wooden door.
Back in the bathroom, the 17 year old had pushed the hood of her black hoodie off, revealing the exhausted and scarred teenager underneath. Well strictly speaking only had two scars that were currently visible. The one under her left eye and the other on the side of her neck. The rest were thankfully covered by clothes. While most have slightly faded with time, her skin will be forever marked by that...monster. The ginger year old sighed, adjusting her wand in her hair. The 12 inch oak stick was currently being used to keep her hair up. Probably not the smartest thing to do given that she kept a hairband around her wrist for such occasions but she didn't really care. She stuck her hands under the tap, watching as it turned itself on.
Cool water poured into her cupped palms and she was about to splash her face with it when a swirling portal appeared right behind her! Ivy let out a small scream as she toppled through it. She grunted when she landed on a hard floor, barely missing an ornate wooden box. The witch pushed herself to her feet, frowning at her new surroundings. She was in a barn of some kind. Now what the hell was that? she thought, watching the portal vanish. It wasn't the main ways she knew how to magically travel: portkey, floo network, apparating and broom stick. But it was none of those things. So...what kind of magic was THAT?!
