The ancient vampire reached out, his cold hand brushing against Rose's forehead. Instantly, a wave of dizziness crashed over her, as if the very essence of her being was slipping away. Her energy drained rapidly, leaving her weak and barely conscious.

In that hazy state, memories began to flash before her eyes, like scenes from a nightmare. She saw the battle, fierce and chaotic, her crystal dagger cutting through the air, only to be confiscated later, stripping her of her power. She remembered the cold, flowing stream where she had sought refuge after being banished, and the desperate journey that had led her here.

And then, the last thing she saw was the vampire’s smirk as she was captured—before everything went dark, her consciousness slipping away into a void.

The ancient vampire’s eyes gleamed with cold intelligence as a cruel smile curved his lips. "Hello, Rose," he said, his voice smooth and icy.

Rose's heart skipped a beat. "How do you know my name?"

"I’ve glimpsed your memories," he replied, his tone almost amused. "You’re the one who caused quite the stir. I can see why they feared you."

Rose struggled against the bonds that held her, the weight of the situation pressing down on her like a vise. Her brother was somewhere in this camp, and now she was a prisoner, powerless and vulnerable.

"I know why you’re here, Rose," the vampire continued, his voice dripping with mock sympathy. "Your brother is alive."

"Where is he?" she demanded, trying to mask her fear with defiance.

The vampire chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "Touching sentiments! But you’ll find that he isn't just your brother. He serves a higher purpose now.”

Rose's heart sank as the horrific realisation dawned on her. The werewolves she once knew had been turned—enslaved by the vampire’s dark magic, their wills bent to serve the very creatures they had sworn to destroy.

"You monster," she spat, fury burning in her eyes. "You won’t get away with this."

The vampire’s smile widened, revealing a glimpse of his sharp fangs. "But I already have, little wolf. And now, you’ll join them—or face a fate far worse."

Rose’s mind raced. She had to escape, to warn Alpha Chris and the others, to find her brother before it was too late. But first, she had to survive this nightmare.

The vampire’s voice lowered, coaxing, almost seductive. "They are fools, Rose. You have great potential—so much anger, so much power. Take your revenge. They used you and discarded you, as if you hadn’t saved their lives in battle."

He paused, letting his words sink in, his gaze never leaving hers. "They took your hard work and perseverance for granted. Help me, and I’ll not only give you your brother, but I’ll also place you in a position of power. Soon, all werewolfs will serve me. Imagine it—leading those who once looked down on you."

His cold finger lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his eyes. "Join us," he whispered. "Serve me, and your efforts will be recognized. They will fear you as you wield the silver blade that slits their throats.”

"You belong with us," he continued, his voice a silken thread weaving through her thoughts. "They don’t deserve you. We see what you are capable of, and we respect you for that. Join us, Rose."

Rose felt a dark temptation creep into her thoughts, but she pushed it away, clinging to the remnants of her loyalty and love for her brother. Yet, the vampire's words had struck a chord, planting seeds of doubt in her heart.
