Theo stared out at the vast expanse above, his eyes reflecting the cold light filtering through the glass dome that confined him. It was a strange kind of solitude, lying there, stuck in the limbo between captivity and despair. His thoughts wandered, replaying the events that had brought him to this point the frantic escape from the lab, the relentless chase across half the world, and that haunting, giant TV lady who had taken away his friends. And now, here he was, back to square one, trapped inside another cage, just as helpless as before.
It felt like a cruel repeat of history, a sickening cycle that had once again stripped him of his freedom. He could sense the looming shadow of torture, trauma, and weaponization hovering over his future. It was the expectation he had for himself, and it disgusted him to the core. The idea of becoming nothing more than a tool for someone else's gain made his scales crawl.
But what made it worse what made the whole situation truly unbearable was the knowledge that he could fight back this time. He had the strength, the power, to break free and wreak havoc on those who dared to cage him. But that hope was crushed by the presence of the colossal mecha standing sentinel over the island. A towering, cold, and lifeless giant, it was ready to obliterate him at the slightest hint of rebellion. The thought of facing such a foe kept him subdued, trapped by his own fear of the unknown.
And then there was Major Hicks, that soldier who seemed to carry a personal vendetta against him. The man's gaze was piercing, filled with a cold rage and an unshakable determination. He stood there, staring at Theo with a fury that made his scales tingle with unease. What could Theo do? Scare him away? The idea seemed laughable at first how could he, a giant kaiju, possibly intimidate a man who had faced monsters like him before?
But then a thought crept into his mind, a small, defiant spark of curiosity.
Theo:.....or would it? Eh, maybe it's something I'll try eventually, just not know at this moment
Theo mused over the idea, his reptilian eyes narrowing as he considered the possibility. Maybe, just maybe, there was a way to turn the tables, to unsettle this man who stood so confidently before him. Maybe fear could be a weapon to a weapon that, if used wisely, might give him the upper hand.
The notion lingered, giving Theo a small, fleeting sense of control in a situation where he otherwise felt powerless. It was something to hold onto, something to keep him from drowning in despair.
Something to remind him that even caged beasts could still bare their teeth.
Outside watching theo as he was resting inside of his cage were major Hicks alongside some of the other soldiers who had survived the chaos that unfolded hours ago, they stared at a large screen feeling unconscious about the beast that laid inside of its dome unmoving and calming. The norm was the monsters being put to sleep with extreme sedatives that weakened their bodies and put into hibernation for years on end with the ones who did wake up attempting to escape their captivity. This was the total opposite, an unnerving opposite.
