Mileena POV:

I was sitting in my usual spot in the cafeteria, towards the back near the exit. Wearing a hoodie, I sat there, quietly reading a book. I was so engrossed in my reading that I didn't realize there were people in front of me until I heard growls. I observed that it was Marissa along with her two goons, Jeffrey and Dallas, who are warriors. They stood there, wearing an evil smirk, while Marissa had a look of disgust on her face.

The only thing I've ever wanted is to be left alone in peace. I'll remain in the background while others take the spotlight. In their eyes, I am an outcaste and an abomination, unworthy of life. The pack's hatred towards me is always apparent, but I remain unaffected by their words. Their words feel like a painful stab in my heart, but I keep it to myself. I've come to accept that no one wants to be around me, so why do they bother messing with me? I stay out of people's way and maintain my own space. Why don't they stop bothering me?

"Marissa, what is it that you need?"

"I wish for you to disappear permanently and never return. You are a worthless mutt taking up space. I can't understand why the Alpha would keep someone as pathetic as you around."

"Perhaps it's due to my intelligence, something you lack."

"What was that, you bitch ?"

"Marissa, I'm not looking for any trouble with you. I would appreciate being left alone, so please refrain from bothering me."

"Guys, she's asking for some space. What are your thoughts on that?" Marissa asks turning to them

"I disagree. Your parents being demoted and becoming regular warriors is quite unfortunate. I know they are mad because you are the caused of it," Dallas stated.

Jeffrey comments "It's pointless to inform her about something she already knows, as the moon goddess made a serious mistake by creating you."

Despite their barrage of insults, I managed to suppress Xyla from taking over by soothing her with my words. I collected my belongings, stood up, tried to leave, but they surrounded me. Marissa invades my personal space, giving me a once-over, then unexpectedly delivers a slap to my face. My head was jolted to the side by the impact. I felt a stinging sensation as I rubbed my hand against my face.

Xyla was battling to move ahead once more. I'm doing everything I can to keep her under control. I need to escape before chaos erupts. I attempt to walk by them until I sense a hand gripping my arm. When I turned around, I saw that it was Marissa. I yank my arm back, make another attempt to walk away, but Dallas steps in my path. I try to maneuver past him, but he shoves me so forcefully that I end up on the floor. There was a crowd that had formed around us in the cafeteria. I reached my limit with all the nonsense, and I'm boiling with anger. Rising from the floor, I walked directly towards Dallas.

"MOVE!" I shouted, giving him a warning.

"What you going to do?"

"Are you curious to know?"

"I'm not afraid of someone as weak as you."

"Okay, just remember I warned you."

"Xyla"

"Yes"

"Step forward,"

"Certainly,"

Without speaking, Xyla stepped forward and violently attacked Dallas, choking him with one hand and repeatedly punching him in the face until he was unrecognizable. Noticing his unconscious state, she hurled him across the room. Surprising everyone, including Jeffrey, he swiftly composes himself and attacks me. I move aside as he falls onto the ground. As he turns his body sideways, I seize the opportunity to unleash a forceful kick to his stomach, causing him to cough up blood.

I could hear him moaning in agony. I grabbed his leg, twisted it, and the cracking sound was audible. He let out a scream, and I was relieved when I saw Marissa trembling in fear. I was right in front of her, her legs trembling as if they were about to collapse.

Xyla punched her in the face, proving that she wasn't as tough as she claimed. I observed blood coming out of Marissa's nose. "You caused my nose to break, you bitch"

"If you try to attack me again, you'll suffer more than just a broken nose."

Anger caused Marissa's face to turn red. Her eyes transformed into a pitch-black color, revealing her fangs to me. With her Lycan emerging and advancing, Xyla stood her ground. I skillfully avoided Marissa's attack and countered with a powerful punch to her stomach. She toppled and landed with her face touching the ground. I knelt down, gripping her hair and lifting her head, to deliver a clear warning that if she and her goons cross me again, I won't hold back. I stood up, made my way to my table, collected my belongings, and exited the cafeteria.

The rest of the day passed in a blur, people kept their distance from me. I didn't mind as I walked into my house and saw my parents standing just a few feet away, waiting for me. Their expressions gave it away; I'm certain they discovered what occurred today. I stood there, taking a deep breath, waiting for someone to break the silence. When there was silence, I asked, "What's wrong?"

"We received a summons from the King to come to the castle because there was an incident at school involving you and some children. Mileena, can you explain what happened?" My father asks.

"At school, I dealt with bullies who constantly harassed me until I couldn't take it anymore, so I stood up for myself."

"Why didn't you let us know?" my mother inquires.

"I wanted to avoid causing you more trouble than I already had. It's unfortunate that you both had to deal with a cursed child and lost your position because of me."

"That position means absolutely nothing to us; You are not curse you are a miracle. I don't ever want to hear you utter those words again. Giving me a crazy look, my mother asks, "Understood?I agreed with a nod.

"Now that it's settled, we should go to the castle and confront the King and Queen to see what we're up against," my father said.

"Fine, let's get this out of the way," I replied. We departed from there and made our way to the pack house.
