Colby stood outside Diandra's door, his heart heavy with her cries. He leaned against the wall, closing his eyes as he took a deep breath. After a few moments, he gathered himself and headed back downstairs.

Downstairs, Jon was sitting on the couch with Trixy and Destiny, their eyes filled with sadness and confusion. They watched anxiously as Colby came down the stairs, hoping for some good news. Seeing his expression, Jon's shoulders slumped, and the girls exchanged worried glances.

"Daddy," Trixy whispered, "why doesn’t Mommy want to see us?"

Jon pulled his daughters close, his own heart breaking at their innocent questions. "Mommy's going through a really tough time right now," he said softly, trying to keep his voice steady. "She’s not feeling like herself, and it’s hard for her to be around people, even us."

Destiny looked up at her father, tears welling up in her eyes. "But we miss her. We just want her to be happy again."

Jon nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat. "I know, sweetheart. I miss her too, more than anything. But right now, we need to be patient and give her time."

Colby walked over to them, kneeling down beside his nieces. "Your dad’s right. Sometimes when people are hurting, they push others away, even the people they love the most. It’s not because they don’t love you; it’s because they’re scared and don’t know how to feel better."

Trixy wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "Is there anything we can do to help her, Uncle Colby?"

Colby smiled gently. "Just keep being there for her, even when it feels hard. We’re going to help her remember how much she means to all of us."

Jon nodded, taking a deep breath. "We’re going to show her that she’s not alone. We’ll remind her every day that she’s still a big part of this family, no matter what."

Destiny hugged her dad tightly, her small voice muffled against his shirt. "I hope Mommy knows how much we love her."

Jon held his daughters close, fighting back tears. "She does, Destiny. And with our love, we’re going to help her find her way back to us."

Mattias watched the interaction, his heart aching for his daughter and her family. "Jon," he said after a moment, "maybe we need to try a different approach. She needs to see that she can still be part of this family, even if things are different now."

Jon looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?"

Mattias took a deep breath. "I think we need to show her that life hasn't stopped just because she's in a wheelchair. We need to involve her in things, give her small tasks, and slowly help her regain her confidence."

Jon nodded slowly. "Okay, but how do we do that when she won't even come out of her room?"

Mattias thought for a moment. "Maybe we start small. Let's organize a family day, something she can do from home. We can have a picnic in the backyard, play some games. Something low-key, but enough to show her that she's still part of this family."

Demi smiled. "That's a great idea, dear. I'll help organize it. We can make her favorite foods and just spend the day together as a family."

Jon looked at his daughters. "What do you girls think? Want to help us plan a special day for Mommy?"

Trixy and Destiny nodded eagerly, their faces lighting up at the idea. "Yeah! We can make cards and decorations!" Trixy said excitedly.

"Okay, then it's settled," Jon said, a small smile breaking through his worry. "Let's do this for Diandra."
