The morning sun spills into the mansion, illuminating the remnants of last night's party scattered across the living room floor. The sound of a car door slamming echoes from outside, followed by Benny's voice as he steps out of the Uber, looking disheveled from his walk of shame. He stretches, rubbing his eyes, when Avery suddenly appears from around the corner, startling him.

Avery: (giggling, her hair still messy) Boo! Did you have a good night, Romeo?
Benny: (jumping back, then laughing) Damn! You scared the shit out of me! Yeah, it was... magical.
Avery: (mocking) Ooo, What's his name?!
Benny: His name's Jes—

Just as they enter the kitchen, the atmosphere shifts. West sits at the table, her expression clouded, and Maggie leans against the counter, her eyes narrowed.

Benny: Uh... hey y'all.
West: (barely looking up) So, you two had a fun night?
Benny: (noticing the tension) yeah, it was... interesting. What's going on?

Maggie crosses her arms, stepping forward.

Maggie: (sneering) West threw a drink in my face last night.
Avery: (high fives West while chuckling) Bad West! What the hell's your problem?!

West's jaw tightens, and she stands up abruptly.

West: (voice raised) Don't forget to tell
them why I did it. Last night, you were just a drunken mess, and you can't even admit that you were in the wrong!
Maggie: (snapping back) I barely fucking remember half the shit that happened last night! I've been doing everything in my power to make sure you were okay on this goddamn trip, but that's over now. I'm over the dramatics!
West: (glaring) Dramatic? You mean I'm giving you the energy that you so rightfully deserve?! You think throwing a drink at you was dramatic? I have zero issues taking it up a notch and I'm sure you're more than aware of that now!

Avery and Benny exchange glances, unsure of how to diffuse the situation.

Avery: (interjecting) Guys, maybe we should all just chill—
West: I've given you more than enough time to be free of blame. I've let you into my life with all of my friends again and said nothing for months. Whatever progress you think we made the night before... you can forget it.
Daniel: (entering the kitchen, catching the last of the argument) West has a right to be upset, Maggie.
Maggie: (tears running down her face) Okay great! Everybody bash Maggie! It's been a fucking year! Are you really gonna hold this over my head for the rest of my life?!

Brad walks into the kitchen in his pajamas and immediately stands in front of Maggie.

Brad: (with his hands out) Woah, woah! Listen you guys, Maggie shouldn't have said whatever it was that she did to West... but a cup of alcohol in her face? I mean come on. Cut her some slack.
West: (furious) And you think I'm the villain here? Maybe you should ask Maggie why I'm so upset in the first place!
Brad: What do you mean?
West: Maggie kissed my fucking ex behind my back! Minutes after we'd broken up! So if you're gonna defend her, it's best that you know what a fucking cunt she is!

West shoots up from the island and storms out of the kitchen, the tension as thick as butter and the room dead silent. Daniel follows behind West and Avery looks between them as they walk out.

Avery: (softly) Sorry Brad.

Brad turns to look at Maggie with a disappointed look on his face. He slowly walks out of the kitchen with Maggie following behind him.

Maggie: Baby, please.

The sound of West's heavy footsteps fades down the hallway, and Benny and Avery exchange a look, both realizing the gravity of what just went down.
