Life at the farm had settled into a new rhythm, one that was undeniably chaotic but comforting in its own strange way. Each person had found their place in this misfit family, and while things weren't perfect, there was a sense of belonging that none of them had expected when they first came together.

Naruto, who had once been used to returning to a cold, empty apartment after spending his days putting on a cheerful front, was no longer alone. He had a family now—dysfunctional, loud, and constantly in each other's business, but a family nonetheless. For someone who had grown up with a void where warmth and companionship should have been, this was everything. He was no longer that lonely kid trying to fill the silence with jokes and forced laughter. Here, he didn't have to pretend. He was loved, and in return, he gave that love freely, brightening everyone's days with his relentless positivity.

Deidara was finally free of the cast that had been such a nuisance, and he wasted no time diving back into his art with a renewed energy. He spent hours in the barn, experimenting with new ideas and techniques, creating sculptures and "explosions" that he insisted were masterpieces. Hidan, never one to miss a chance to stir up trouble, often joined him, offering unhelpful commentary and daring him to make his next piece even more outrageous. They bickered constantly, but it was clear that their strange friendship had only grown stronger.

Hidan, for all his bluster and foul-mouthed arrogance, seemed to thrive in this environment. He had found his place among people who didn't judge him for his twisted sense of humor or his love for chaos. Instead, they accepted him as he was, and that acceptance was something he never thought he would find. He still had a knack for pushing everyone's buttons, but now there was a sense of camaraderie behind it. Beneath the brash exterior, he had found a place where he belonged, even if he'd never admit it out loud.

Sasori, ever the enigma, remained as composed and inscrutable as ever. He still found his amusement in subtle manipulations and watching how others responded to the chaos he created, but there was something more to him now—a quiet contentment that hadn't been there before. Though he rarely showed it, there was a sense of satisfaction in being part of this strange group, a place where he could observe and participate in the intricate dance of human emotions without fully entangling himself. He was still the puppet master, still the one who thrived in the shadows, but even he had grown fond of the unpredictable family he had found himself a part of.

As for Sasuke and Itachi, their relationship had deepened in ways neither of them had expected. The walls that once separated them had crumbled, leaving nothing but raw honesty between them. They no longer hid from the darker parts of themselves; instead, they embraced those sides, knowing that they were stronger together than apart. Their nights were filled with a passion that had grown from a place of trust and understanding, and their days were spent with a sense of peace that had long eluded them. For the first time in their lives, they weren't just brothers—they were partners, equals, both fully accepting the other for who they truly were.

But even as things moved forward, there was still a sense of nostalgia, a recognition of how far they had all come. Sasuke often found himself reflecting on the journey that had brought him to this point—how he had fought against who he was, how he had struggled to understand the conflicting desires that had torn him apart. But now, standing on the other side of it all, he felt whole in a way he never thought possible. The darkness was still there, but it was a part of him, not something to be feared or hidden. He was finally at peace with himself.

The farmhouse was filled with laughter and arguments, with shared meals and quiet moments of reflection. They were a family, bound by secrets, love, and a shared understanding that life was messy, complicated, and full of unexpected twists. But they had found their place in the world, and that was enough.

As the sun set on another day, painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson, the group gathered on the porch, enjoying the cool breeze and the fading light. Naruto was telling a ridiculous story, making everyone laugh, while Hidan and Deidara threw in their usual jabs. Sasori watched with his ever-present smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement as he observed the lively interaction around him.

Itachi sat beside Sasuke, their shoulders touching, a quiet connection between them that spoke volumes without words. Sasuke glanced at his brother, feeling the warmth of the moment settle in his chest. He was home, in a place where he was fully accepted, where he could finally be himself.

As the evening wore on, the conversation drifted, and the group began to disperse. Sasuke lingered for a moment longer, his gaze drifting to where Sasori stood, leaning against the porch railing. Their eyes met, and in that brief exchange, there was an unspoken acknowledgment of the secret that still bound them—a shared understanding that would never fully fade.

Sasori's smile was subtle, a flicker of amusement and something deeper, something that only Sasuke could fully grasp. It was a reminder that despite everything that had happened, they were still connected, still tied together by the choices they had made.

But that was okay. Sasuke had made peace with it, just as he had made peace with every other part of himself. He was where he was meant to be, surrounded by people who had become more than just friends—they were family, each in their own unique way.

As Sasuke turned to follow Itachi inside, he felt a sense of contentment settle over him. The farmhouse was chaotic, messy, and unpredictable, but it was also filled with love, acceptance, and a deep sense of belonging.

And for someone like Sasuke, who had spent so long searching for his place in the world, that was more than enough.

The farmhouse, with all its secrets, complexities, and unlikely bonds, was home. And no matter what the future held, they would face it together, as a family—a family that, against all odds, had found a way to make the darkness and chaos work in their favor.

Because in the end, they were all broken in their own ways, but together, they had found something whole.

A/N:

Well, I suppose this is the end or the beginning of it for Itachi and sasuke? This story isn't far from a similar thing I went through, all the stuff about being torn between what's safe and the unknown. I ended up making the opposite of Sasuke's choice, and even though I've made peace with it, diving into the abyss head first, leaving behind what I've known for over six years, the thought of what if I stayed will forever linger. And that's precisely why, even if Sasuke moved on, he will forever have that same thought that I do, because, at the end of the day, everything I write is somehow a reflection of myself.

Now that the sappy stuff is out of the way, thanks, guys, for sticking around. I know how different this version is from the original, no horse riding lessons, NO KIMIMAROXHIDAN?! No sexy cigarette scene in the car. Illegal, really. But in the end, this version has its charm too. Exploring Sasori was incredibly exhilarating as if he were narrating the story. I don't know what I will write next, but here's to more ItaSasu. (and Sasori, because my boy needs some love.)

Edit:
Gonna leave this horrible drawing from 2019 I did for the original farm. Just because I think its a nice way of honouring it, despite it making my eyes bleed.
