Laurens POV

Me and Emma finally made it to my home town, Miami. Im so happy to be home. It feels so good to be back. I loved California but its so much different from Miami. I missed my mom and my dad. They are going to be so excited to finally meet my babygirl. I wonder how Chris will take it. Shes becoming more and more like Taylor everyday. Its hard enough on me to see it happen but Taylor and Chris had a special relationship, I dont know how he will react.

Chris's POV

Im so excited to see Lauren! I missed my long brown haired love bug. Shes my sister and means the world to me. I only have one left so I need to see her more often. I know that might sound morbid but its true. I took Taylor for granted and i dont want to do the same thing with Lauren. She said she adopted a little girl named Emma, and that she reminds her a lot of Taylor, this is going to be really hard for me but I have to do it, for Lauren and for Taylor.

Emmas POV

Mommy says that uncle Chris is going to take me out for ice cream while she goes to her audition, Im nervous. I dont know him very well but I guess I'll have to go because we live by them now, and they are my family. That sounds funny, family. f a m i l y. Family. I have a family. "Whatchya thinkin' about mija?" Mama asked. "Oh it's nothing mama I was just thinking about how I have a family now. I'm not on my own anymore." "No baby, you'll never be on your own again. I promise mija. I think we are close to our new home baby!" Mommy said excitedly. "YAAAYYY!!!!" I screamed. "Woah mija" Mama chuckled.

We got the building our new apartment was in and mama took me out of the car and we started walking towards the door when a girl who had blonde hair and blue eyes came up to us. "Lauren? Is that you?" The mysterious girl questioned. "Yeah I'm Lauren." Mama smiled. "Can I help you?" "I'm Ally!" "Oh my gosh! Ally!! It's been so long since I've seen you! I didn't know you still lived here!" "You know me, I don't like change."

I was still confused about who this Ally girl was. Mommy never mentioned there being an Ally in the family. But she doesn't look like she'd be in the family. We are Hispanic and this girl has blue eyes and is really really blonde.

Laurens POV

I was really surprised to see Ally here. We dated for 3 years until Taylor died. She's from Missouri, but we met in here in Miami. After Taylor died, I broke up with Ally and moved to California to get away from it all. Breaking up with her is probably one of my biggest regrets. She was still there for me until I just stopped talking to her, I wanted a complete fresh start. To do that I had to cut all ties with everyone but my family. When I first moved, I facetimed my dad every night at 7pm sharp.

I felt Emma tugging on my shirt. "oh Im sorry Ally, this is my daughter, Emma." She gave me a confused but happy look. "Well hello Emma! Im Ally!" "Hi.." Emma said being shy. "Well, it was really good seeing you Ally." I said genuinely. "It was really good seeing you too Lauren." Ally said pulling me in for a hug. She held on for a while and I rested my head in the crook of her neck until she pulled away. She kissed my check and then slowly turned around and walked away but before she did she made sure to give me her new phone number. "Call me sometime and maybe we can catch up." I didn't answer. I grabbed Emma's hand and led her into the apartment building.

We got to our new apartment, A17. I took out the keys the landlord gave me and unlocked the door. "Are you ready mija?" I said excitedly. "Yes mama open it!!" Emma said jumping up and down. I opened the door and it was beautiful. Of course it isn't the biggest but its the best I could afford right now. Emma ran around in circles in the living room before awesomely sliding on her knees like a rockstar towards me. "Where'd you learn to do that mija?" "I didn't I just kinda did it." She laughed this amazing laugh that filled up the whole apartment and I smiled. Everything is going to be okay. "So mama, did you and that Ally girl used to date?" "Uhhmmm.... yes babygirl we did." I said nervous about what she would think. "Oh okay, cool! I like her! You should see if she can come over and play!" I let out a sigh of relief. "Yeah, maybe I will." I said smiling.

AN: I KNOW IM A HORRIBLE PERSON!!!! I havent updated for like 6 months but its summer and I remembered my password and my parents stopped taking my phone at night so Im going to update more than once every couple of months I promise! Tell me what you think of the story so far! Sorry if I make any plot mistakes, its been a while since I've written on this.
