"Little Things"

Chapter 18: "Mitsuki's Birthday Party" pt.2

A/n: hello again, this chapter may be a little shorter. So bear with me again. But I really do hope you're enjoying this story.

While we were waiting for my dad to get here Furukawa came up to me. "Hey Mitsuki, what are we going to do?" She asked in an uncomfortable voice. "Oh, you know how today is my birthday? We're having a party I guess, my dad just told me to gather people." I responded, she looked calmer after I told her that. A couple more minutes dad, please. I was starting to get... impatient. Then my dad finally showed up after 15 minutes. He got out of the car. "Mitsuki baby, I rented a whole karaoke joint just about 1/2 a mile away." This feels like to much. Somi then went up to me. "Is that really your dad?" She whispered. I looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, he can be a bit, much sometimes." I responded and laughed awkwardly. "Okay, everyone can get in the limo, my driver will escort you guys." Dad said. Everyone bowed when passing my dad. And I felt a little awkward. I then went into the limo, and dad followed after me. "So, what is everyone's names?" Dad asked. "I'm Kimura Akane, we met at the festival." Akane told dad. "Yes, I remember you, and miss Saya it's good to see you girls again." Dad told them. "Hello sir, I'm Ishoka Haruki." Haruki said to my dad. "Yes Ishoka, I also remember you." Dad told Haruki, everyone except me, Haruki, Furukawa, and Akane gasped. This made dad laugh. "Well what is everyone else's names?" He asked. "I'm Somi Mito sir." "Yes, Somi, nice to meet you, and what about you young man?" He asked Lee. "My name is Lee Chiba sir." Lee said in a shy, awkward voice. Dad smiled and said, "good to meet you Lee." And the car was silent for a few minutes. And dad broke the silence. "So, Mitsuki baby, I want to tell you something." I was embarrassed by dad calling me 'Mitsuki baby' in front of everyone. "But I'll save it for later." He added. What does he want to tell me? I asked myself. Confused. As we were driving to the karaoke place, Haruki asked my dad, "mister Yoshida, will you take the honors and be the first to sing?" Haruki, please. Everyone's eyes fell on Haruki. I hit him softly with my elbow. "Oh no no, I'm not going to sing, well since you asked. Why don't you be the first to sing?" Dad said, and Haruki smiled. "Yes sir I will do so." Why is Haruki acting so formal with my dad? I asked mentally. And after a short period of time, we finally got to the karaoke joint my dad was talking about. Every one went in and chose their seats. Obviously Haruki and Akane were sitting next to me. "Well what song are you going to sing Ishoka?" Akane asked, amusement in her voice. "Me? It's a surprise." He said and smiled at me. "We just have to wait for Izumi to get here." Dad said. "Who's Izumi?" Somi asked me. "My older sister, she's coming over. She'll be here soon." Somi nodded and went to take her seat. A couple minutes later Izumi showed up. "Well Izumi is here now, Ishoka, pick your song." Dad said. Haruki nodded and chose a song. And Shinunoga E-Wa, by Fujii Kaze started playing. I sighed and just waited for my turn to come up. Everyone's turns passed by, and Lee skipped his turn, so I was next. I just chose Blue Bird by Ikimonogakari. My favorite. As I was singing i noticed how everyone's eyes were on me. And I just tried to get down with the song already. After we all sang, dad told us to go get in the limo, because there's a "surprise" for us. What now? I asked mentally. And dad took us to a fancy restaurant, we all felt out of place, everything and everyone was dressed so elegant and we were just using our school uniforms. What the heck. "Dad let's just go home." I told him. He nodded, and told everyone to go back to the limo, that he'll drop them off home. He dropped off, Lee, then Somi, then Furukawa, and Akane, so it was just me, and Haruki in the car now. Very awkward. "Aren't we going to drop Haruki off?" I asked dad. He said no, and that he's going to 'visit' for a bit. I just nodded. When we got home, dad told me to set my new phone up, so I did. Haruki sat on the couch, and dad sat next to him, they started chatting. And soon I got done setting my phone up. Thank God. After that Haruki left. And I was exhausted. "I'm going to take a bath." I said and went to take a bath. After that I went to my room, and fell asleep.

Hello, I'm lazy to check for spelling mistakes, so if you see any, comment or leave it. Do whatever. Again, this chapter felt really rushed, and I'm not having fun writing "Little Things" anymore. It's just not I don't know, fun, but anyway. I hope you're enjoying the story so far. And bye bye
