Clove
She didn't know how much time had passed since Cato came into her room and they kissed. But she could stay in this moment forever, she was sure of that. Then suddenly they heard a voice calling their names.
"Clove, Cato! Come out for breakfast, we'll arrive to the Capitol in three hours!" It was Enobaria. Clove quickly pulled Cato into the bathroom and shut the door behind them. Just in time, because a moment later Enobaria came into the room. "Clove are you in the bathroom?" She asked.
"Yes, I'm here!" Clove answered, trying not to laugh, which was hard, cause Cato was silently trying to do the same thing next to her.
"Okay, then come when you're ready!" She said. "By the way, have you seen Cato? I can't find him anywhere."
"No, I haven't seen him." She said, almost bursting out laughing. When they heard Enobaria leave the room, they couldn't hold it anymore. They did burst out laughing. As they were looking into each others eyes, there was only one thing in Cloves mind. She just wanted to say it. Three words, eighth letters. Her heart wanted her to say it, but there was another thing echoing in her brain.
Too soon to tell you I love you
too soon to tell you I love you
too soon to tell you I love you.
As they were trying to laugh quietly, Cato kissed her again, both of them smiling. In that moment, everything felt soo perfect. Like everything is the way it's supposed to be.
After a minute, they went to the front of the train and sat down next to their mentors.
"Now, I'm sure you know everything about sponsors and stuff, so we won't have to say anything to you." Brutus said, as they finished their breakfast. They nodded.
"Except," Enobaria looked at them with a serious face, so Clove knew what was coming. "Let's revise the three rules of being a career." The rules. Everyone knew them, they taught it to them when they started training. They said if you break the rules, you can't be a true career.
"Let's start then!" Enobaria said, looking at them. "Cato, what's the first rule?"
"A career never shows mercy. He kills everyone if he has the chance and never spares anyones life." Cato says with boredom in his voice. They had to say these rules every week. If not every day.
"Second rule," Enobaria continued. "Clove, let me hear it."
"A career never has a lower training score than an eighth. If she gets a lower score, she can't be part of the career pack." Clove said, just like she did a thousand times before.
"Okay then, now for the last and most important rule." Enobaria looked at them with concern in her eyes.
"A career never shows her emotions..." Clove started,
"...If his emotions are even a little close to love or friendship." Cato continued.
"You can never show it if you care." They finished, locking eyes. Clove knew that if they break that rule, the third one, they are basically dead. There is no way any sponsor would want to bet on a career who has feelings. But it shouldn't be that hard to keep it a secret right?Sorry guys, I've been busy, but the next part is coming soon!
