Chapter 22

I woke up at five in the morning. Caden was still asleep beside me, with his arm wrapped around me. I carefully moved his hand away from me, put on my clothes, and gathered my things. I needed to leave before he woke up.

I took a moment to look at him before leaving the room.

Logan had sent me many messages and calls, apologizing to me. I typed out a reply for him.

After leaving the hotel, I got into a taxi and headed home.

My whole body still hurts because of what happened last night, as it was my first time experiencing that.

I don't want to see him anymore. It's better that way because I also gave him my virginity.

My decision last night was the right one, even if he won't be the one I end up with. I still gave him something I've cherished my entire life.

I didn't go to work for four days because of the pain in my entire body and the thoughts troubling my mind. Niela and Harley kept texting me, saying that Caden was looking for me.

I went to Batangas to relax, and I knew that Caden would look for me and find a way to see me, so I decided to distance myself.

Logan and I talked about what we have, and I told him that I only want us to be friends. He said he would accept that, but he asked me to let him love me until his feelings for me fade away.

I'm with Logan right now. I planned to be alone, but he insisted on coming with me.

We're at Pamana Beach Resort located in Nasugbu, Batangas.

I went out of my room wearing just a halter top and a maxi skirt with a high slit.

I just want to get some fresh air outside.

While I was outside, I took a moment to enjoy the breeze and the view. It felt good to be out in the open and get a break from everything that's been on my mind.

As I walked around, I took in the serene surroundings of the beach resort. The sound of the waves and the gentle breeze helped clear my thoughts a bit. It was a nice change of pace from the stress I'd been feeling.

I found a quiet spot where I could sit and relax, enjoying the tranquility of the place. The fresh air and the view of the sea were calming, and it gave me a chance to reflect on things. Despite the earlier chaos, I felt a little more at ease, appreciating the moment of peace.

As I sat there, I felt the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the breeze mixing together, which was soothing. I took some deep breaths and let the natural beauty around me help me relax. It was a welcome break from my usual routine and worries, giving me a chance to recharge and gather my thoughts.

As I sat by the water's edge, feeling the gentle breeze, Logan joined me and settled down beside me. He was quiet at first, sensing I needed some space to think. We both gazed out at the horizon, taking in the beauty of the sunset painting the sky with hues of orange and pink.

Logan eventually spoke up, his voice soft, "I'm here if you want to talk or if you just need some company."

I appreciated his presence and his understanding. We continued to sit there, sharing a comfortable silence. The sound of the waves and the occasional distant call of seagulls filled the air. It was a peaceful moment that allowed me to reflect on everything that had happened recently while feeling supported by his presence.

"Logan, if you have a problem, can you solve it by running away from it, especially if it's something you've been wanting to forget for a long time?" Logan looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "Running away might give you temporary relief, but it usually doesn't solve the problem. Facing it, even if it's difficult, is often the only way to really move past it. It might not be easy, but it's important to confront issues head-on if you want to find a lasting solution."
