Somewhere in the middle of the forest...
“What, you think you can spy on me so easily, and I wouldn’t notice? Don’t make me laugh...” Yosaku said, laughing.
“Who cares if you found us out? We’ve already sent the information we needed. Our mission ends here. We have no intention of fighting you. Pardon us,” the leader of the special team said.
“You think you took information from me? It was I who let you spy. I was wondering how to inform them, but you made it easy for me. Get lost... Get lost before I change my mind and kill you all right here,” Yosaku said, his voice thick with anger.
“Thank you!” the spies said as they quickly retreated.
----Sometime later...
“Master, we’re ready to launch the surprise attack. Just give the word,” a member of Shunu, Alex, said.
“No need to rush, Alex. Where’s that guy, Cruid, who fought the Dragon Emperor? Why don’t we use him for the attack? Who cares if he dies again? Let’s use him to make the wielder stronger. I can’t wait to crush the Dragon Emperor’s face!” Osaka (another name for Yosaku) said with a sinister grin.
After Rennin defeated Cruid, a few members of Shunu brought him to Osaka and informed him of the events. Osaka, seeing an opportunity, decided to use Cruid to make Shoji stronger for their inevitable confrontation.
With his power, Osaka revived Cruid and gave him a mission: to defeat Shoji (but keep him alive).
Cruid took a few days to rest, but his desire for revenge burned within him. He assembled a team with Osaka's help to carry out his mission.
----The Next Day...
“Welcome, Phoenix. Do you have any information?” the Governor of the Celestials asked.
“Yes, we’ve gathered intelligence on his plans. There haven’t been any changes. According to our spies, they’re planning a surprise attack soon, though it may take some time. We must be cautious. We may need to combine our forces to defend our world,” Phoenix replied.
The governors of the three royal entities (Celestials, Fallen Celestials, and Demons) were holding a meeting to prepare for Shunu’s impending threat.
“How is your leader, Phoenix? And what about the Red Dragon Wielder? I believe he’s still in training,” the Governor of the Fallen Celestials inquired.
“Our leader is stable, but the aftermath of his battle with the previous lord was severe. We might need a master dark medic to fully heal him,” Phoenix responded.
“As for the Dragon Wielder, my sister is overseeing his training,” Phoenix added.
The leaders discussed their strategies and plans before concluding the meeting.
----Later...
“What brings you here, Osaka?” Phoenix asked, readying himself for a fight.
“As I said, I have no intention of fighting you right now. I wonder, are you preparing well for the battle? I’m curious about the Red Dragon Wielder’s progress,” Osaka said.
“Don’t you remember? You agreed not to spy on him or fight him until he’s ready,” Phoenix reminded Osaka.
“And that’s exactly what I’m doing. Don’t tell me what to do; I listen to no one,” Osaka said with a smirk before vanishing.
As Phoenix returned to his kingdom from a distant world, an unknown group ambushed him.
Two attackers rushed at Phoenix, swords aimed to strike.
Sensing the danger, Phoenix summoned his Ethereal Flames to protect himself.
“Ethereal Flames! Burn them to ashes!” Phoenix roared as he unleashed his attack. He immediately spread his wings, transforming into his true form, the Phoenix.
With fierce claws and a sharp beak, Phoenix attacked the two assailants. Meanwhile, three more enemies lunged at him, trying to trap him.
Phoenix soared above the trap, raining flames down on his foes. The intense heat forced the enemies to retreat and regroup for a counterattack.
But Phoenix was relentless. He grabbed one of the attackers in his claws and hurled him into the others, breaking their formation.
Without hesitation, he unleashed another wave of flames and charged through them, striking down the group.
Badly injured, the enemies decided to retreat, vanishing from sight.
Phoenix reverted to his human form. “It seems there are some new players. No one would be foolish enough to face me head-on. Who could have sent them? I’d better report this and let the intelligence crew handle it,” Phoenix said to himself.
Phoenix headed to the headquarters of the Intellectual Creeps, an organization tasked with investigating incidents like the one he just encountered and tracking potential threats to prevent future conflicts.
---Meanwhile, in the depths of the forest...
Phoenix arrived at the headquarters of the Intellectual Creeps, a place hidden deep within a dense and ancient forest. The atmosphere was tense, as if the very trees themselves were keeping secrets. The grand wooden doors creaked open as he entered, revealing a dimly lit room filled with ancient scrolls, maps, and arcane artifacts.
“Phoenix, we weren’t expecting you so soon,” said a tall, cloaked figure. It was the head of the organization, known only as the Watcher.
“I was ambushed on my way back,” Phoenix replied, his tone grave. “A group of unknown attackers—powerful enough to work in unison and skilled enough to time their assault perfectly.”
The Watcher’s eyes narrowed beneath his hood. “This is troubling. We’ve heard whispers of a new faction, one that operates in the shadows, but we haven’t been able to identify them.”
“They were strong, but not strong enough,” Phoenix said. “Still, their coordination was unsettling. Someone sent them, and they were prepared for a battle. We need to find out who.”
The Watcher nodded, turning to a large, circular table in the center of the room. “We’ll gather all the intelligence we have. This attack could be a sign of something much larger on the horizon. The balance between the Celestials, Fallen Celestials, and Demons is fragile. Any disruption could lead to chaos.”
Phoenix agreed. “If they’re targeting me, it won’t be long before they go after the others. We must be ready.”
