"Tomorrow we're leaving for Poland." Charles says during dinner because yes, we all have dinner together.
I found it a bit strange when I first got here but now I find myself looking forward to our meals all together.
That is when I'm not sat next to Hank, like right now.
"We?" Hank asks, arching an eyebrown which, thank God, is back to normal. I don't think I could've handled seeing him blue for long.
I swear I found blue fur in the hallway this morning.
"Someone, obvoiusly, has to stay here and watch the kids." Charles nods, finishing the meat he was eating.
"I'll come with you." I simply say, I really need to talk to Magneto.
"You think we're letting you on a airplane with us? That guy could get in your head any minute and make us crash." Hank glances at me.
"Well, Hank, thank you for your faith in me." I shake my head.
"Do you want me to say that I have faith in you but not in Echo? Well, I don't have fate in either you or him."
"Ah, you really are a fun guy, hm?" I take a sip of water.
"You two look like kids picking a fight." Raven scolds us.
"He started!"
"She started!" Me and Hank both say at the same time.
"You two remind me of me and Scott when we fight, are you sure you aren't related?" Alex snickers and I glare at him.
"I don't remeber my family but I'm pretty sure he wasn't in it." I say as I look away.
"Please, if you were related to me you'd have at least an IQ of 100."
"You think my IQ is low? You think I'm stupid?" I turn towards him, "I'm going to turn you into a fucking blueberry milkshake."
"Kids, behave." Me and Hank both turn towards Charles with a puzzled expression.
"Kids?" I say arching an eyebrow, Alex and Raven chuckle.
"Lauren can come with us, Raven do you mind staying back here?" Charles wipes his mouth with a cloth, so elegantly that he almost looks like a prince.
Raven shrugs her shoulders, "No problem."
"Great, then we're leaving tomorrow afternoon." Charles moves his wheelchair away from the table, "Hank, get the jet ready, please."
"He will fly us to Poland? And I am the threat?" I ask schoked towards Alex.
"He's a great pilot." Alex admits, nodding towards Hank.
"I thought you were on my side, Alex." I say as I shake my head.
This is odd, it feels comfortable. Family like.
It's strange, I've never felt this comfortable with other people.
"Why can't you simply admit that I'm actually cool?" Hank says, looking at me behind his glasses.
"Because you're not, you're just jealous of me because the kids prefer me to you as teacher." I say with a grin, I teach chemistry and he teaches science.
"You literally started teaching today."
"Yes and the kids already love me." I say proudly, "I mean...Scott stops me everytime he sees me in the hallways and begs me to teach him how to fight, which I think is a good sign."
"He asks you that? Why doesn't he ask me?" Alex asks confused.
"Because you're his brother, he will never ask his brother for help." Raven says as if it's the most obvious thing to the world.
