it was around eight in the morning when yeji finally decided to wake up and get ready for school. she had the habit of always waking up late for her lectures.
after a shower and putting on something simple, she exited her bedroom, shocked to see the state of her apartment.
it was clean!
yeji looked around her apartment, surprised at how spotless it was. clothes she had lying around were now picked up. she was embarrassed by the piles of laundry she had. everything was placed in a basket, ready to go straight into the washing machine. it was nice to see things folded and put away.
even all her papers were organized on her table. she could even smell lavender. no idea where that came from.
"morning, yeji." yeonjun eagerly greeted her. she jumped a little, hearing his voice. she almost forgot about everything she had discovered. a part of her hoped everything was a dream and that her cat wasn't a human.
yeji mumbled back 'morning' to yeonjun, who was currently seated at the kitchen island, eating a bowl of cereal.
"did you clean my apartment?" yeji asked as she searched through the cupboard for a clean bowl.
"you're messy. were you born in a barn? even dogs keep their place clean!"
yeji's face turned sour. "i don't have time to clean up every day, okay?" she tried to excuse herself.
"cleaning after cleaning doesn't require much work."
"you sound like my mom," yeji said, rolling her eyes.
yeonjun didn't say anything. he just ate another spoonful of his cereal. well, her cereal.
yeji grabbed the cereal box but noticed it seemed lighter than before. opening the box, she looks inside, pulling out the plastic bag that holds the cereal inside, only to discover that it is almost empty.
"really?" yeji looked at him. she literally had a full box yesterday. she set the cereal box down before turning to look at yeonjun, who was just eating away.
