yeji was pacing around her kitchen, trying to find something to cook. she only now realized the lack of ingredients in her apartment. the worst thing about living alone is that no one reminds you when things run out. she was in desperate need of a shopping trip.

what's worse is that since yeonjun has been walking around in his human form, he has been snacking on everything edible. speaking of yeonjun, it occurred to her that she hadn't seen him all day. she didn't understand how he could just disappear all day and then show up randomly.

she wondered how he kept himself active with nothing to do during the day.

"yeonjun, do you want to go outside with me!? she yelled, hoping he heard her from wherever in the house he was hiding.

"yes!" she heard a muffled yell. suddenly, yeonjun ran out of the bedroom, putting on a hat.

"calm down," she smiled. "i just want to go to the market to get some stuff." it's hard feeding a grown man. yeji didn't expect yeonjun to eat so much of her food. even worse, she couldn't get him to eat any of the cat food she brought.

yeonjun ignored her as he sat in front of the door, putting on his sneakers.

"you act like i'm holding you hostage." she laughed at him, grabbing her purse.

yeonjun practically ran out of the door as soon as she opened it. yeji honestly wished she could take him out more. she felt bad keeping him cooped up in the house all day. he sat at the window almost all day.

yeji wasn't expecting it to be so busy outside today. she was getting worried about everyone who passed them. yeonjun, however, didn't have a care in the world. he pulled her in every direction, getting distracted by the smallest things.

yeonjun's face lit up at everything like it was his first time experiencing life. yeji felt pity. she didn't know how long he had been at the shelter. even a simple butterfly sparked his curiosity.

as soon as they entered the market, they were stopped by an older-looking lady. she had a huge sun hat, which was weird because today was pretty windy. it was the middle of spring. the first thing yeji noticed was the lady's eyes. they were purple, which was very abnormal but looked so natural. they looked exactly like junnie.
