       "yeji, where are we going?" yeonjun asked excitedly. he was grinning from ear to ear as he watched a bird fly over their heads. it was his first time outside as yeonjun, and he couldn't contain himself. he wore yeji's black beanie and had his tail tucked away.

they had been strolling down the street for a while now. it only now crossed his mind that he had no idea where they were going. he was just too excited when yeji told him they were going outside; he never thought to ask.

yeji smiled to herself. she was waiting for him to ask. yeonjun was so distracted that he hardly paid any attention to her. "we're going to the mall. i have to buy chaeryeong a new purse because someone thought it would be a good idea to destroy it."

"it was an accident."

"how do you accidentally pee on someone's purse?" she pressed. "you have a litter box."

yeonjun frowned. "i hate using the litter box. i hate being a cat."

"shush." she grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to her. taking a look around, there weren't that many people on the streets, but she still wanted to play it safe. "you don't want people to hear you."

yeonjun started mumbling under his breath, quiet enough for only him to hear, but yeji could tell he was definitely cursing.

"stop being petty. chaeryeong isn't as bad as you think. she's just very opinionated."

"no one asked for her opinions."

"be nice," yeji sighed. "i also want to buy you some new clothes. i hate seeing you in my brother's clothes."

"your brother?"

"oh yeah." yeji realized that yeonjun didn't really know much about her. she didn't know anything about him either. she had so many questions for him, and he always just avoided answering them. there was no way she was going to get yeonjun to open up about himself if she didn't make the first move. "he's my older brother. his name is hyujin, and he lives in a different city with my parents."
