Remus was worried about Vega, although he'd wouldn't admit it to most, he cared a lot for her and didn't want her to have to deal with someone like Severus.

After class, Vega seemed a little... off? I was still cooling down from my earlier interaction with Severus when I noticed her small glance back at him as we walked past she looked like something was bothering her and I had a feeling Snivellous took part in causing it.

"Hey Vega, are you okay?", I said softly making sure she wasn't angry; Vega tended to lash out irrationally when she was upset.

"Oh yea, I'm fine Moony," She said still thinking seeming to be off in her own world.

"Ok then...", I didn't want to push her at all, but I was still concerned about what had changed her mood during the test.

After a few classes, we happened to share most of them, we ended up meeting the rest of the marauders in the hall to plan an upcoming prank. The two of us found Peter, Sirius, and James sitting at a table whispering about the plan together.

"So, I think we should use Serpensortia and conjure a snake into Snivellous' bag," James whispered looking to Sirius for feedback as Remus and Vega sat down.

"Doesn't he have an extreme fear of snakes?" Sirius grins at the thought.

"Wouldn't that be a bit too mean?" Peter asks the two.

"That's the point of the prank Wormtail," Vega says with a grin as she ruffles his hair.

"I guess," He responds.

I sat down next to Sirius who was discussing the whole thing in detail with James. I grabbed an unfinished dark chocolate bar from my school bag; my favorite snack. I glanced at Vega now and then still wondering what bothered her while drifting in and out of conversation.

"What time should we do it then Moony?", James questioned; seeing as the full moon was tonight I suppose he wanted to be considerate of me and make sure I didn't think the timing was too late.

"Hmm?", I said turning my attention to him a moment too late.

"I said," He responded with a mischievous grin as if he knew what I was thinking of or should I say, who I was thinking of, "What time should we pull the prank Moony?"

"Uhm- an hour or two before the sun sets I suppose?" I said after a moment or two of thought.

"Alright then," Sirius said with a wide grin across his face.

About five hours later we had just scared the shit out of Snivlleous; it is quite shocking that a Slytherin of all people had ophidiophobia. We were all laughing together, about to sneak out of the school for the full moon; before them, it had been a time I'd dreaded, although recently I had been almost looking forward to this time with my friends. It's never fun to be a... werewolf... but with my friends at least I can be myself in front of others. They had even gone through the long process of becoming illegal animagi all for me; Sirius got a black dog, James a stag, Peter got a rat and Vega a rabbit. Now we were about to leave before I transformed.

Vega stopped walking for a moment, she looked down at the ground while messing with her fingers a little nervously, "Hey guys..."

"What's up Vega?" Sirius said a little concerned about why his sister was acting like this.

"Uhm- so... promise not to be upset but, I can't go with you guys for the full moon tonight...", She said in a quiet voice.

"What?! Why?!", James and Sirius both said looking upset, a little angry, and ultimately confused.

I stood there confused and hurt. She once said that she would never skip out on full moon days. What could it be keeping her from such an important thing to them all? Was there something more important than... me?

"I- I can't... tell- you...", She sighs, "But please just trust me it's extremely important," When she said it, it felt as though she was speaking more to me than James and Sirius who looked much more offended than me for whatever reason.

"Why can't you just skip whatever it is Vega," James says with an angry and betrayed undertone; I felt he was a tad dramatic but of course, I wouldn't have been able to change that.

"I'm so so sorry but I really can't, I swear I will never miss another full moon again," Her eyes seemed to be pleading for me to believe her, and wholeheartedly did.

"Don't worry about it Cottontail," I smiled slightly and nudged her shoulder with mine to try and reassure her.

James and Sirius looked at me shocked, but I didn't mind it all I noticed was Vega's small smile shining towards me brightening her eyes and complimenting her gorgeous features.

"Thanks, Remus and I swear it won't happen again," She said relieved and grateful that I wasn't reacting like everyone else.

I was still hurt, but I put on a fake smile and walked off with the rest waving goodbye to her as we headed off into the forest.
