That is how we ended up getting here with Vega in tears, worrying about her future, her freedom, her friends worrying, and what Severus planned to do to her.

My mind is racing as I walk back to my dorm, the memory of Severus' cocky smirk plays over and over in my head. Tears fall into my open wound, mixing with the blood turning a cruel shade of pink as it burns and stings with each drop. I get to my dorm and flop down on the bed tears still streaming down my face in violent sobs; I was sure the next dorm over could hear me, but honestly, at that moment I didn't care. After about an hour of wallowing in self-pity, drowning in my tears, I finally cleaned out the wound. I'm dizzy from all the hyperventilating mixed in with my tears, I almost have a hard time standing upright. I wash off the deep red blood, grimacing with each burning sensation the cool water brings. Once the blood has been cleaned, a large jagged cut is revealed surrounded by red irritated skin. A single tear falls silently as I see the damage caused.

I wake with tear-stained cheeks, red and puffy eyes, and tired dark circles under my eyes. I hurry to the great hall after speedily getting dressed, hoping Severus won't spot me and keep me from my friends. I believe they will be the only thing getting me through this awful day.

I hide my hand as I sit down, "Morning guys."

Peter spoke up as the rest gave me small smiles in response, "Morning Cottontail. You look tired, didn't sleep well?"

"Not at all," I respond with a tired smile, "How about you all?"

James and Sirius look over, concerned, "We slept alright...", James responded.

"Oh, I forgot to ask the other day how the full moon was?"

They smile warmly in my direction, "It was good, Remus was grumpy as usual," James says.

"Pain the ass, that one is," Sirius says nudging him with a small smile.

"Worse than usual even," Peter laughs.

The other two nod in agreement as Remus sits there rolling his eyes, "I was hardly that grumpy today."

"Sure Moony," James laughs before turning back to his food.

I smile widely at her friends, feeling 10 times happier than I had in the last 12 hours; I place my hand on Remus' hands, grabbing his attention, "I swear I'll be there for you next time."

I'm not entirely sure if I was seeing this right, but he almost looked like he was... blushing?

"You should've seen him Vega," James speaks up with lighthearted humor as I move my hands away and turn back to our friends, "He was being a goddamn prick. You would've wanted to smack him yourself."

"You say that like I don't always want to," I say as I laugh along with my friends.

Suddenly I see Severus out of the corner of my eye walking up to us and my smile quickly dwindles.

I hear James say, "What the hell does that greasy bastard want now?"

Severus stops behind me, I can feel his eyes locked onto the back of my head as I stare at my hands in my lap almost trying to hide, "May I speak with you for a moment?"

I can hear the irritability in his voice and before I can speak up I hear an annoyed Sirius, "What do you want from her?"

"That's between her and me."

I step out of my seat, "Ok," I hide my hands as I nervously fidget with them; I can't risk them seeing my hand, can't have them worrying.

I can feel their eyes boring into my head as I follow Severus out of the great hall and into the corridor. He eventually stops in a deserted classroom, for privacy I assume.
