2 • a royal scandal

You sat in your car on the way to school, looking at your phone. The chat between you and Woojin opened, you were tempted to message the boy but turned your phone off before you typed anything.

The year was already starting off as a mess and you didn't want to add to it. You needed to forget about anything you had going on in the past, there are more issues now so it would be best if you didn't distract yourself.

You got a text from Rian, making you forget about your thoughts.

"Auntie is back?" You said aloud shocked. More to add to Rians stress, he now has his mother breathing down his neck at all the wrong moments plus Kang Ha kissing Jaei. Rian will only be able to see red and it's just going to make your life harder.

You arrived at school and got out of your car , walking in and coming across Ms Han. A smile plastered on her face, you weren't going to interact with her but when the two of you accidentally collided and her stuff went everywhere you couldn't help it.

"Oh I'm sorry Y/n." She said bending down to get her stuff. You just let out a heavy sigh

"Watch where you're going!" You let out at her annoyed.

"I'm sorry Y/n, I didn't see you there." She smiled before bending to pick up the books she had dropped, you just walked off kicking one of them away from her.

You walked through the corridor accidentally coming across Rian.

"Why do you look so annoyed?" He asked, you just slightly glared at him before composing yourself.

"I'm just stressed-" you tried to walk past but he stopped you. "I'm not Jaei , you can't act like this with me." You said pulling your arm away.

"I'm just looking out for you , Y/n." He said looking at you. "Is it Kang Ha? He was staring at Jaei during classes and then kissed her. Is he bothering you too?He's getting on my nerves." Rian said , as if he was looking for another reason to hit the scholarship student.

"It's not him." You said.

"Then who?"

"You wouldn't understand. Just go back to worrying over Jaei." You said walking away. Rian turned, watching you leave before he started walking again.

Soon coming across Kang Ha as he walked through the corridors, the two stopping like they were having a Mexican stand off. Students around them gossiping over what had happened.

Rian made it to the lounge where you and Jaei sat. You were going over some of the stuff she had missed in classes.

"Would you really go to such extreme lengths ?" Rian asked and Jaei put down her tablet.

"What kind of extremes? The kiss?" She asked, not backing down from your cousin. "I've been perfectly clear about my feelings, who I like and what I do is my business."

Rian just looked over at you as if to check if what he was hearing was real. You just stayed out of this though. He composed himself.

"You like that scholarship kid?" Rian let out with an amused scoff. "What is the real reason you use him? And on that note, I wonder what I'll be doing because I'm willing to do whatever it takes to find out what you're keeping from me and return you to your rightful place." He finished before walking off and leaving you and Jaei alone.

"Did you decline him last night?" You asked her after he had left the room.

"Is it that obvious?" She said taking a sip of her tea. You just sighed.

"Are you really not going to tell him?" You asked her, she slightly paused her movements.

"I'm not sure why he thought what he did last night would work, it's not something he would think of." Jaei said ignoring what you said.
