AURORA
At the house at last.
I thought as Eric pulled up the long driveway.
I grabbed my bag off of the seat next to me.
"Bye Eric" i smiled as i stepped out of the car
"Bye kid"
School went better than i expected today. No one came up to me to ask me about modeling, except for Shelly and Helen, but Lizzie just told me that that was their deal, other people's lives. So i just brushed it off. I hope it will stay like this.
I was actually a little disappointed that i didn't see the guys today. I really missed them and wanted to see them. But Claire told me that we'll see them tomorrow at lunch, so there's that.
Today's lunch i spent in the school parking lot with Liz. We were just talking, catching up a little. I missed that. Just talking to someone, not about work, not about the press. Just normal teenage talk between two equally normal teenage girls, well as normal as teenage girls can get that is.
Then i remembered that i hadn't even looked at the lunch Alexa packet me.
Fuck.
Well there's gonna be a talk about that later.
It's not that i didn't want to eat now. But eating just made me feel sick, it felt like i didn't need it. I couldn't need it.
I walked into the house and was greeted by my father's puke painting again.
I walked past the kitchen, aiming for the curved staircase that led to my bedroom.
"Aurora" Demon spawn's voice was heard from the kitchen.
Just fucking great
Be ready to sit there for two hours and listen to how important it is to eat Aurora.
"Look Alexa i didn't eat the lunch, can we skip the lecture just for to-" I walked into the kitchen and shock came over me. Making me freeze.
A well-known tangle of curls was standing in the middle of the white kitchen.
My vision started getting blurry from the tears filling my eyes.
"Daniel" i yelled out before jumping onto my brother, making both of us fall to the floor.
I wrapped my hands around his torso, holding onto him for dear life.
"Rory" Daniel hugged me back, as he slowly sat up with me in his hands.
"You're here" I buried my face in his chest. The tears falling from my cheeks clung onto his shirt.
"I am" He rested his chin on top of my head.
"I missed you. Don't-..don't ever leave me again"
"I missed you too" He rubbed circles on my back. "I won't..i promise i won't"
I lifted my face away from his chest and looked at his face.
God i missed his face.
He wiped the tears off my face with his thumb.
"C'mon get up" He pulled me up with himself.
I stood in front of him for a second, taking in his appearance.
He wasn't the same as before he went away. The eye bags under his eyes were gone. His teeth weren't yellow anymore. His arms weren't bruised. He even grew a few inches.
I wrapped my arms around him again.
"Hey hey" He grabbed my chin and raised my head to look at him. "I'm okay now. I really am"
