"What the fuck?" Walker snarled.

Beau clenched his jaw as he saw Elisabeth instinctively lower her head, almost in a submissive gesture.

"I thought I told you to stay away from him."

"He just got back, baby... I was about to leave." She murmured, stepping down from her spot on the counter.

Walker scoffed. "Yeah. Sure you were."

"I was just about to. I can't control when he comes and goes or where he goes."

Her words only seemed to flare Walker's temper.

"You were lettin' him get at you."

"Walker, I-"

"Fucking Christ woman, all you ever do is talk!"

And then it happened.

An impact that sent her staggering back.

Elisabeth pursed her lips, the pain of Walker's punch pulsating across her cheek.

The other wranglers seemed frozen in place, all in complete shock at what they'd just witnessed.

"Baby... I-I.." Walker stammered.

"So that's how it is, huh?" She mumbled, staring at the floor as her eyes glossed over.

"I speak up for myself and stand up to you... and you hit me?"

"Baby it was a mistake! It-It'll never happen again, I swear!" Walker cried.

Elisabeth wiped her cheek with her middle and ring finger, a streak of blood showing on the pads of her fingers.

His ring had cut her skin and created a gash.

She bit the inside of her lower lip before sighing and meeting his eyes.

Walker began to tremble as she looked at him.

Without another word, Elisabeth took her engagement ring off and tossed it to him.

"W-... W-Wait, what are you doing?!" He asked frantically, looking down at the diamond studded band in his palm.

"I'm done, Walker."

He inhaled shakily at her words.

"N-No... you're just-you're just angry with me!"

"I've put up with all your bullshit since day one. Letting other women rub up on you, the drinking, the arguments, the mood swings, all of it. You've never left me any room for error. Because the second I screw up I'm suddenly the worst person in the fucking world. I'm done."

The other wranglers watched with wide eyes as Elisabeth composed herself and grabbed her keys.

"Where are you going?" Walker managed to say, looking at her as she neared the door of the bunkhouse.

"On a drive." She answered simply before exiting.

Ryan and Beau immediately moved from their spots to follow after her.

But not before Walker could get a word in with Beau.

"This is all your fucking fault." Walker snarled at him.

The brunette arched a brow at him.

"I ain't the one that just knocked her in the face for standing up for herself."

Walker seemed dumbfounded for a moment, and Beau took that time to walk out the door.

The two males found Elisabeth sitting in her truck, her eyes still red and teary.
