Chapter 19: Talk

After dinner:

Everyone went back to there presective rooms, while the others decided to go with the three other juniors. Jingyi stayed behind as he wasn't feeling quite well and stay.

Instead of going back to his bedroom and take a rest, he was at pier a private pier. We're only, family members could have access through.
Lan Xichen spotted him and walked over.

"Good evening, Jingyi. I thought you are not well?"

"Yeah..."

"Why look gloomy? Has the food not quite be fitting on you?"

"No, Not that, the foods yummy here as always, spicy."

"Then what is the matter?"

Lan Xichen spoke as he sat beside the young man and looked up at the sky, as the other was staring down on the water.

"I just miss my parents that's all..."

Lan Xichen turned his head towards the young junior, he knows what it felt not being able to see his parents. The younger man had a frown he was clutching on something. The man chuckled, making Jingyi look up at him.

"What's so funny?"

"I just remembered something laughable that's all."

Jingyi rolled his eyes, even tho he is a pass self of his father. He still got his mother's attitude.

"You clearly act more like Jiang-gongzi."

"I know, people keep on saying that, me and Jin ling act like him."

"Aren't you happy tho?"

"Why would I be happy?"

"Be happy because you have your mother's attitude."

Jingyi had a frown. Lan Xichen the tried to lighten the mood up, trying not to upset the younger. man even further.

"Why don't you talk about the happy things. The positive sides Hm?"

"I guess..."

"Then what do you mostly love about Jiang gongzi?"

"Well..."

Flashback from the past:

"My Baby, My Baby, you're my baby say it to me..." Jiang Cheng said with a singing tone as he cradle the new born baby I his arms. The child was wrapped around with light blue robes with lotus flowers embroidered on them. It was a windy day and GusuLan as he was looking up at the sky.

Jiang Cheng hummed the song as he kept on cradling the baby, when Lan Xichen entered with a smile on his face. He walked up to his husband and kissed his forehead, and touched the baby's small tiny hands. It has been only 3weeks since Jiang Cheng gave birth to Jingyi.

"You should be resting inside A-Cheng..."

"I am fine Xichen, there is nothing to worry about."

Lan Xichen gave him a soft smile before kissing his forehead and to the lips. Jiang Cheng was surprised and still let it Go. The baby started to make noise, trying to get his mother's attention away from his father.

The two laughed, and the Jiang gave in. And kissed baby Jingyi's forehead, Lan Xichen then took out a white ribbon. Which was the GusuLan ribbon, the sides on the ribbon had clouds on them.

Lan Xichen let Jingyi touch the ribbon, and the child held tight. Making the two parents laugh, at his small cute action.

"I didn't expect for you to remember that."

"I didn't they told me."

"Who?"

"You..."

Lan Xichen smiled and was happy that his future self told his future son about these things. Jingyi looked up from the waters and to the dark night sky.

"Jingyi...."

"Yes?"

"How did me and Jiang-gongzi really fell inlove...? Because, Wei-gongzi showed us but I didn't really gained that much information."

"I remembered A-niang telling me. You two catch feelings while rebuilding Lotus pier..."

"Rebuilding Lotus pier?"

"Yes.. Lotus pier was massacred by the Wen clan, losing everyone, his parents, his friends. Even young children weren't even spared."

The way Jingyi spoke, terrified him. How could the Wen clan not spare them? Well what do you expect it is the Wen Clan after all. Imagine not sparing even the children.

"But please... don't tell A-niang."

"What are you two talking about..?"

A voice from behind surprised Jingyi looked behind and saw his mother's younger self. Lan Xichen stood up and greeted the Jiang.

"Good evening Jiang-gongzi."

"Good evening Zewu-jun, isn't it almost nine? why are you Lans still out here."

He said Jingyi and Xichen looked each other. I guess there talk to a while than they thought.

"Well, excuse me Jiang gongzi, and young master."

Lan Xichen said and walked away, leaving Jiang Cheng and Lan Jingyi alone in the pier.

"What were you two talking about?"

"A-niang... you didn't hear anything else didn't you?"

Jingyi asked, Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow.

"Hear what? should I know something but you are clearly hinding it."

"Of course not A-niang, me and A-die were just talking that's all."

"Okay....but why keep calling me a-niang, I'm still a male you know."

"I know, that's just how I call you."

He said with a cheeky smile on his face.
