*BEEP BEEP BEEP* I turned off my alarm and got out of bed wishing I could sleep for longer. I did my usual morning routine and did my makeup. We were having a pep rally since homecoming was happening soon.So that meant I had to wear my uniform. I took it out of my closet and put it on, I did my hair and put my shoes on before heading downstairs. "Good morning Mami." "Good Morning Mija, vas a comer?" (Are you going to eat?) "No gracias Mami I'm not hungry." "Esta bien, make sure you come straight home after school your Papi wants to have dinner." "Okay I will. Bye Mami." "Bye Mija, drive safe." "Always." I left the house and went straight to school. When I got there I went in through the gym and met up with my team. "Good morning Luna." "Morning Coach, is there anything that has to be done?" "Yes actually, can you lead warm-up for me? I have to talk to Student Council to make sure there aren't any issues with the music this time." "Alright." I gathered the girls together and we did our usual warm-up routine. We went over our routines and made sure we were good to go. Since we had to be here early we all stayed in the gym. *45 minutes later* The pep-rally finally started and we shake our pompoms as everyone walks in. (Y'all please don't hop on my head I don't know a lot about cheerleading lmao) *Time Skip* We performed our routines and the crowd went crazy like they usually do. The pep-rally ended and classes started. I walked a couple of laps around the halls with Myka and then went to our second period class since today was a block day schedule. "I hope y'all are ready to present" Mr.Hart said in his sassy voice. "We have to present today?" Myka said. "Yeah girl, y'all have to present today or you can push it back another day." He replied. "Let's just go, if we ask to go first we'll get it done and your grade will go back up to a B and coach won't be on your ass anymore." Myka thought about it, "Fine, only if we go first." "Alright, class find your seats and quiet down. We're continuing presenting and you will have to present today or tomorrow if you would like full credit. If not I will be docking points, if you have to make any accommodations please see me after class." Myka and I presented and watched the other presentations. After second period we went to fourth and after that was lunch. Myka and I texted the groupchat and asked what they wanted for lunch. They all suggested tacos and we went to Ricardo's. We all met up outside and decided we would all go in my car. "Damn Luna, slow down girl. We ain't in a rush." My friend Alexis said from the back seat. "My bad, I'm just trying to make sure that we'll have enough time to eat and have our chisme sesh. I love Ricardo's but it's pretty far." "Yeah, and if I get another tardy my Apa will kill me. He said I have to go to all my classes on time if I wanna keep going out with y'all. Which means no more ditching or going to class late." My other friend Julissa said. "I told you to stop ditching dumbass." Myka chimed in from the passenger seat. Once we got to Ricardo's we got out the car and ordered our food to go. "Order number, 315,316,317,318" Jose shouted from the front counter. "That's us." We got our food and made sure everything was in our bag. "Gracias Jose." "De nada Mija." We got in the car and went back to school. I parked in my spot and we all started eating. We had our chisme sesh and went to our classes for the rest of the day. "Bye guys." I hugged my friends and went straight home just like my mom said. I went uptstairs and showered. I changed into a casual outfit and went downstairs. "Ya estas lista?" "Si Mami." "Okay, tu papi va a llegar en cinco minutos." After waiting for my dad to get here he let us know he was outside and we got in his truck. "Como the fue en la escuela." "Bien." I replied. We went to a restaurant and they sat us down at a booth near the window. We ordered our drinks and after looking at the menu we ordered our food too. I looked over at my parents and they had this look on their face. "What's up? Porque se Milan nerviosos." My dad sighed and rubbed and put his hands together. "Mija, I am very sorry to tell you this but I lost my job." "WHAT? WHY??" I raised my eyebrows trying to make sure the whole restaurant wouldn't hear me. "The company was bought out and they are re-locating to Colorado." "Porfavor no me digas, that we're going to Colorado, that's so far!!" "We're not going to Colorado Mija." My mom said. "I have a friend who works for another company but since I am just starting out, I won't get paid as much so we're going to have to move." "I'll still go to the same School though right?" My parents looked at each other. "You're going to have to move Schools." "Porque? Please let me go to school here. I'll wake up earlier if I have to." "I'm sorry Mija, I wish we could but it's something that we have to do." Before I could say anything else the waitress brought our food and set it down on front of us. "Thank you." We all said and she left. I could heardly eat after hearing what I was told. I didn't want to leave. My friends are here, they're the closest I'll ever get to having sisters and I don't wanna leave them. "Where are we moving?" "We're going to Freeridge." My dad replied. We used to go to Freeridge every Sunday before my Abuela passed away. We would always tell her to come live with us but she insisted on staying. I sighed, "When?" "As soon as possible, your Mami and I already got a house and were hoping to move in by next week." "So we have to start packing now?" "Yes." "We're very sorry Mija. I know you don't want to leave but I'm sure the girls will understand. How about this? You can hang out with the girls on the weekends if we don't have any plans. We'll let you drive over there or they can come to the house." Mami said. I sighed, "Fine. I don't know how I'm going to tell them." I put my fork down and my dad asked for the check. He paid and we went back home. The car was silent the whole time and once we got there I went straight to my room. "What are we gonna do Lucky?" I said as I grabbed my dog who followed me up here. I texted the group chat and asked if the girls were busy, they all said "No" and I facetimed them. I told them the news and they all insisted on coming over and helping me pack. "Guys It's only Tuesday. I guess I can pack up my clothes and leave some out for the rest of the week." "Girl have you seen your closet?" Myka said. "Nah for real, last time we seen was a mess! " Alexis said. I sighed, "You're right, I didn't even think about that. I think I'm going to have to get rid of some things." "If you get rid of anything let me know girl, I might take a couple of things." Julissa chuckled. "Of course." I started cleaning out my closet and separated the things I wanted from the things I didn't want until I got tired. I ended the call and got ready for bed.
