*Hey Y'all for the sake of the story's plot just pretend Brentwood is an hour away from Freeridge*

ɴᴏᴡ ᴘʟᴀʏɪɴɢ: White Ferrari-Frank Ocean

I put on some boot cut jeans and a brown tube top, I but my brown and white Jordan's on and got started on my makeup. I did my hair and grabbed my pink juicy couture jacket. I put it on and went downstairs. I made myself a drink and grabbed my keys. I said bye to Lucky and locked the door. I drove to school and waited for my friends to get there. I had already talked to Coach and my teachers on Wednesday that today was my last day so all I had to do was go to my classes and give my coach some of my cheerleading stuff. I went to all of my classes. I was very happy that I had all of my classes with Myka, Alexis, and Julissa. When school was over the girls and I walked to my car and I grabbed my duffle bag with all the stuff I had to return. I was very sad to see it go but I was happy that coach let me keep one of  my uniforms, this year's jacket, some of my practice clothes and my pompoms. That stuff is NOT cheap and my parents made me pay for it so I would be damned if I wasn't able to at least keep a couple of things. Myka and I walked in and went straight down to the gym and into Coach's office. "I'm sad that you won't be here for the rest of the year, but I am really proud of the person you have become. I hope that you keep cheerleading because you're very good at it. I am sad that I won't have you as captain for another year but I am glad about the time I got to spend with you and watch you grow. Don't forget about us though, come visit us when you can!" "I promise that I'll visit whenever I can! I'm going to miss you guys so much." I said looking at Myka and Coach Rodriguez. "Don't make me cry now girl, come here my little Duvalines." Coach said as she pulled Myka and I into a hug. (This morning she said Myka and I's outfits reminded her of a Duvalin.) "Don't let anyone know that I let you keep your jacket and your pompoms Mija. I'm supposed to take it even though your name is on it but I'm not doing that. Shit's not cheap and you didn't know you were leaving." "I won't. Pinky Promise. I'll make sure the girls don't tell anyone else on the squad." I hugged Coach one last time and said goodbye. Myka and I walked out of her office and went back upstairs. As we were walking towards the front entrance I heard a familiar voice. "Why are y'all still here?" Myka turned around and saw Mr.Hart. He walked towards us and I said, "We were just about to leave. I had to go turn some things in to Coach." "Damn, finally you're leaving. I thought I was going to have to deal with you two annoying me for the rest of the year." Mr.Hart joked. "I wish we could but I just had to move." "I'm just kidding, I'm sad that only one of my favorite students is staying but if you don't come visit it us. Girl, I will hold a grudge against you forever." Myka and I laughed. We all walked over to the door and opened it. "I promise that I'll come visit whenever I have the chance." "Pinky?" Mr.Hart asked. "Pinky." I said as I held up my pinky. We all walked out and Mr.Hart reached out of his bag and gave me an envelope. "I wrote this for you. I was going to write both of y'all a letter once you guys graduated from here but your time here was cut short. Don't read it in front of me though, I just might cry and I can't look ugly when I get home my Husband is taking me out tonight." Myka and I chuckled. Mr.Hart would write his favorite students letters whenever they graduated. I didn't know he did that until one of the seniors told me my freshman year. Mr.Hart has always been my favorite teacher so after Freshman year I would always be in his class. I couldn't take the same English class my Sophomore year so I was his TA (Teacher's Assistant) until Junior year. He started teaching Latino History this year so I took his class again. I took the envelope and gave him a hug. "Thank you, Mr.Hart I'm going to miss being in your class." "I'm gonna miss you too child. Now go home! Get out of here!! I got a date to get ready for." Myka and I laughed. "Bye Mr.Hart have a good weekend." Myka and I said. "Bye y'all, have a good weekend as well." Myka and I walked to the student lot and got in our cars. I pulled out of my parking spot and the girls followed behind me. They followed me home and helped me pack the rest of the things in my room. They stayed for dinner and helped us pack the rest of the stuff that was downstairs. It was now 11:30 and the girls were getting ready to leave. "Thank you so much for all of your help, get home safe mijas. Tengan mucho cuidado." "We will! Bye Teresa,Bye Mariano." The girls said. I walked them out and walked them to their cars. I gave them all one last hug and we said our goodbye's. "Aight y'all let's stop acting all sad and shit. Luna's parents said she could see us on the weekends it's not like we're never gonna see each other again." Myka said. "Shi you right" Alexis replied. "I'll see you guys later then." I said. "See you later. Don't forget to tell us when you get there and don't ever stop calling us." Myka said. "I'll let you guys know when I get there and I'll come visit y'all too, and just like Mom said at dinner y'all will always be welcome at our home so feel free to come visit when you'd like. Text me as soon as y'all get home. I love y'all." "We love you too." I watched as they drove off and went inside. I said goodnight to my parents and went to my room. I stared at my empty room and the inflatable mattress in the middle. I grabbed Lucky and cuddled him until he slept. I tried to sleep but I kept waking up throughout the night. I stared at my ceiling hoping that I wouldn't have a hard time in Freeridge. Last time I stepped foot in Freeridge was my Freshman year before my abuela died. I wonder if those kids are still there. Every time I would visit her I would see these kids walking around. Their names were Cesar, Ruby,Jamal, and Monse. Sometimes this girl named Jasmin would join them but not often. I would see Cesar more than any of them. He would tell me about his big brother and how his mother left. I remembered the times where I would go to the store near my Abuela's house and I would buy Cesar some candy or chips because my parents would always tell me to get him something too. There were a couple of times where my parents would invite him to eat with us whenever we made food at my Abuela's house.I never talked to his brother Oscar, I would occasionally say "Hi" if I walked Cesar home because my parents never wanted him to walk home by himself but aside from the occasional "Hi" or "your welcome" for bringing him home that's as far as my conversations with Oscar would go. There was a time where I found him handsome but that was a long time ago.I never did anything about it or talked to him because my dad doesn't like when I talk to boys, Cesar was an exception. My dad always treated Cesar like a son, he loved spending time with him. I wonder if he still lives  there. I guess I'll find out eventually. Finally my eyes gave out and I went to sleep.
