Lumine absorbed everything on the ride out. Every tree, every monster, every animal. She didn't get to go out very often, so whenever the chance presented itself, she took it. It made Dream feel bad at times, seeing how little she knew the world - asking questions that any normal child should know. His little princess was sheltered, but for good reason. Nightmare had already taken his guard captain. He couldn't afford to lose his daughter, too. It was why his staff was considerably less as well- less opportunities for there to be a spy. He trusted Classic, Ink, and Outer with his very soul. None of them had ever betrayed his trust - not even when he was a boy learning the trade of the kingdom himself. Someday, when she was stronger, he'd let her out more, but for now, she stayed in the carriage. "stay here, lumi, i'll be right back." Dream got out, nodding to Outer before headed to the townhouse to conduct his business. Lumine whined sadly as she watched him go. She looked up, and Outer smiled at her from his bench. It seemed that exploring was out of the question.

Cimmarian could remember the last time she'd went out with the guys. Nightmare thought it would be a good education for her to go for a week long training exercise, in case the time ever came where she had to survive on her own. Horror, Killer, Dust, and Cross had taught her everything she needed to know on stealth, tracking, and surviving in the woods. They could've never known she'd appy it to sneaking out and taking to the streets of the village to have a look around. It was a Sun Kingdom village, which further validated that she had been right - this wasn't just a border check. They were on the attack, or they were trying to get information. Her father would certainly be upset if he found out about this. Cimmarian wanted to know more about their 'enemy', though, learn more about how the Sun Kingdom and the Moon Kingdom had become enemies. Cimmarian spotted a Sun Kingdom carriage, and a grin crept onto her face. Maybe she could take something from the Sun Kingdom, and it would soften the blow if/when he found out. She just had to distract the guard first. That would be easy.

One well placed pop from a bought balloon to spook the horse did it, and the guard had to get down before it took off running. Cimmarian eagerly went for the door and opened it up to see a purple eyelighted little skeleton around her age. For a moment, she looked startled before she smiled. "h-hi... i like your crest." Cimmarian blinked at the child dumbly. "Thanks...? I didn't come here to talk though -"
"do you wanna show me around?" The skeleton asked suddenly and eagerly, throwing Cimmarian off more. "What?" She asked. The girl was already getting out, though, taking Cimmarian's hand. "come on! show me around, please?" The princess found herself complying to the weirdos' demands. If it made pleasing her father easier, she'd do it. Show her a few stalls and take her back to the Moon Kingdom carriage to show off her prize! They couldn't be mad at her for her success. "oh- how pretty! a butterfly!" Lumine exclaimed as it fluttered around her before flying off to a flower. "Yeah. Pretty. Come on, kid." Cimmarian tried to lead her to the carriage. "lumine! i'm lumine!" She introduced making Cimmarian uncomfortable with how open she was. "Uh... Cimmarian..."
