Twentieth of August, 2021

The days after his death were filled with mourning. Lewis had finally gotten a hold of Amelia once she had made it to his apartment in a mess and sobbed in his arms at 1 am.

No one had seen her cry until that moment. Layla stood behind her with a hand on her back while Lewis wrapped his arms around her. She had held back so many tears in the last few weeks and it was no lie the two of them were close so seeing her control her emotions was talked about throughout multiple news stations and articles but she couldn't do it anymore.

She was so hurt and in so much pain. The biggest male figure in her life had gone just like that. All she had was her grandmother, Layla, William, Catherine, and Harry. If she lost them anytime soon she fears what would happen to her mental health.

"He is gone Lewis, he left me alone." Lewis could barely make out her words. The shock had worn off as they stood in the hallway of his home.

"Shh, it's okay. It's going to be okay." The three of them sunk to the ground and hugged her as she cried. The last time Amelia had cried like this was when she decided to move out of her father's house, Layla would know, she was there.

Eventually, Amelia fell asleep in their arms and Lewis picked her up and placed her in his room. Now Layla and Lewis sat across each other each with a cup of coffee.

"The last time I saw her cry like that was at Sheffield High when we were 15."

"I don't think I've ever heard about her childhood except for tabloids."

"It isn't the best. It's not my story to tell but I can tell you it wasn't nice, especially with Camilla around her. She hated her and vice versa."

"She moved to Buckingham Palace when she was 15 right?"

"I think that fully solidified the hate and ever since then it's not been the best with her father."

"You think she'll ever tell me?"

"Eventually. Amelia's been hurt a lot, we've seen her go through it all so I urge you to give her time and continue to love her. I believe you're the nicest thing that's happened to her in years."

Layla stared at the ground once Layla had finished her sentence. Soon enough, she bid him farewell and walked out the door leaving him to the silence of his home.

Amelia woke up to a pair of arms wrapped around her. At first, she had stiffened up but she soon realised the arms belonged to her lover and snuggled in closer.

"Good morning to you too." Lewis groaned before kissing her forehead

"This is nice." She said although muffled by the proximity between her mouth and his shoulder.

"This is more than nice." He lifted her face to place a quick kiss on her lips before she could realise because she thought morning kisses were disgusting.

"Lewis!" She smacked his chest

"What did I do?!" Lewis laughed making her shake her head before he spoke again "How about you get ready for breakfast, you can look for a sweatshirt or hoodie of mine and shorts while I brush my teeth then get started on breakfast."

"That would be lovely, thank you." Amelia let him place a kiss on her forehead before he quickly went into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
