Twenty-fifth of August, 2021

Unfortunately, Lewis had to leave for Belgium for his race and Amelia had gone back to her duties as expected from her. She spent two days with Lewis before he had to leave for his flight with Angela so when the two left, she locked up with her spare key and returned to Buckingham Palace.

Everything was still gloomy but the children running around made it all bearable. George and Charlotte ran towards their aunty when they noticed her presence.

"Aunty Lia, where were you?" Charlotte asked curiously

"Oh, I went for a little trip to relax. I met a friend."

"Was it Lewis Hamilton?" George added making Amelia gasp playfully

"What do you know about Lewis Hamilton?" She asked in a high-pitched voice to hide the reality of her whereabouts. She reached down to tickle the boy before a voice called out to her.

"Well if it isn't my little sister," William announced walking towards the trio with Louis in his arms

"Hi Will, I have missed you." She stood up and hugged the man in front of her tightly. He knew she needed it.

"So have I, we should really catch up. I feel like I barely spend time with you these days." Of course, William felt the guilt of death. He had just witnessed a family member die and suddenly realised anything could happen.

"Of course Will, whenever you are ready." She smiled at him "Now if you would excuse me, I need a nice hot bath until my skin starts to scream."

"Go crazy." He kissed her forehead and rubbed her forearm before walking away to busy himself with his other kids.

Amelia practically Zombie walked to her room, stripped off her outfit which was Lewis' hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, and dropped into her ready-made hot bath. Much appreciated as well.

Once she was out, she walked to her grandmother's room, slipped into the bed next to her, and opened up her laptop for the pair to watch The Crown.

"So you mean these people think that's how Diana and Charles' argument was?" Elizabeth asked

"It looks very realistic as well. Shows him for the cheat he is."

"Evie, don't talk about your father like that," Elizabeth said endearingly. "Even if it is true." She added making Amelia snigger

"I want you to meet Lewis." She had announced randomly after watching two episodes in silence

"Philip told me all about him, lovely boy isn't he?" Her grandmother's eyes began to gloss as she remembered her husband

"He is. I do not know how we are ever going to work out together. I would hate for this to be another Meghan and Harry situation." Amelia leaned into her grandmother

"I'm just glad you've found someone you love. It's about time too."

"I just turned 31 Granny, I still have a lot of time." She smiled

"Time waits for no one my love, I would love to meet him."

"Thank you. He is at a race though, so you might not see him until much later in the year."

"I think I can hold up." She sat up to smile at her grandmother before going back to lean into her. She loved her grandparents so much.

They were the parents she never got the luxury of having.
