Walker's POV

*:・゚✧*:・゚

"Okay.. so are we just going to stand out here awkwardly or are you going to finally tell me why you needed to meet me here so urgently? Also, where is Aryan? Did you forget to text him?" Leah questioned, her impatience practically radiating off her.

I give her an unimpressed look. We have quite literally not even been in front of the school for a full minute yet. "I would tell you if you gave me a second to explain rather than showing up all 'Negative Nancy'," I retorted.

If looks could kill, I would be dead right now. She shoots a piercing look my way before simply adding, "You didn't answer my last two questions." Did she wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something..?

"I didn't invite Aryan. I just needed to talk to you about this. It's kind of about the girl that I texted about last night," I mutter at the end. I already don't like that I'm talking to Leah about a girl, but the fact that I don't even KNOW the girl... embarrassing.

"I KNEW THIS WAS ABOUT THE GIR-" I shove my hand over her mouth before she finishes her sentence. Looking around quickly, I say, "Dude, what is actually wrong with you?"

She grasps my wrist and throws my hand away from her. Usually she would clap back with some quick-witted remark, but I'm guessing that she can tell by the look on my face that I'm being genuinely serious right now. "Sorry, sorry. I'm just excited," she says quietly this time.

"It's okay. I just need your help," I say before quickly adding, "That is if you'll help me."

She gives me a soft, more sympathetic look now. "Of course I'll help you Walk. What is it that you need me to do?"

"Well, obviously I was thinking that you would become friends with her like we talked about last night. I was just maybe wondering if you could introduce me to her or invite her to lunch with us or something?" I reply, the words feeling weird coming out of my mouth. I really do not like this conversation right now.

"Okay okay, that was kind of my plan anyway. Speaking of our plan, we should probably go inside now because I have an idea and I'm going to need some time to execute it," she says thoughtfully.

I nod my head and turn swiftly to start making my way inside. I don't make it very far before Leah grabs me and pulls me into a tight squeeze. "Thank you for coming to me for this. It means a lot," she expresses, though her words get mostly muffled in my sweatshirt.

"Thank you just as much for being here for me. I wouldn't have gone to anyone else," I say gently before hugging her back.
