Lainey's POV
*:・゚✧*:・゚
The weekend speeds by. I was looking forward to the weekend all of last week, but because of the way Friday night went, I couldn't be more excited to get back to school. I've never connected with someone like I did with Walker. Talking for literal hours without overthinking what I'm saying felt so surreal..
Leah and I spent the whole weekend at my house debriefing from the party and watching Gilmore Girls. Is it still considered gossiping if the person you're talking about is fictional? If it is, I'm sorry Lord. Either way, I am NOT sorry Rory Gilmore. Someone tell this girl to give it a rest.
If you told me last week that my weekend went in the direction that it did, I definitely would have laughed (maybe not in your face but laughter would've been involved, trust me).
My anticipation to get back to school only grew when I found out that my mom had special plans lined up for me this weekend. Getting me my VERY OWN CAR!
I got my license a couple weeks ago - and once I found out that we would be moving soon I figured that we were waiting to get my car - but I didn't expect it to be so soon!
This morning is the first time I get to drive my very own truck. It's an old, cherry-red colored truck. It's only a two-seater, three if you're counting the console that you can turn into a seat. It's everything I've ever dreamed of my first car to be.
The eagerness to be able to show Leah 'Rosie' (yes I named my truck, cry about it) is driving me crazy. I know she'll scream once she sees her.
I pull up to the school and park in our schools parking garage. I plan on hanging out with Leah after school, so I just have to keep this secret until the end of the day. I have a really good feeling about today, hopefully it doesn't go too slow.

Other than having to restrain myself all of first period from spilling my surprise to Leah, the day seemed to fly by. Before I knew it, it was already fifth period. I've been looking forward to this class all day, just so I can talk to Walker again.
Though, I know that might be hard because we sit in the very front of class and we still have school work to do, I still find myself looking forward to being in his presence.
I've always heard of people saying that having a school crush is so fun because it makes you look forward to every aspect of school, but I haven't understood what that truly felt like until right now. I'm not sure I have a crush on him, but he definitely has peaked my interest just a tad.
Walking into English and seeing Walker already seated makes my stomach flip. I take my seat and immediately turn around to talk. I've already turned around before I realize that jumping straight into conversation is a little too bold for my taste. I'm not really sure what to say other than "hi", so I find myself staring at him straight on for a second before blurting, "so, did you do the homework?" Wow... smooth Lainey.
