The past week had been nothing short of surreal for Alexa. It felt as if she had been walking on air ever since that magical evening with Jude in the pool.

It wasn't just the physical connection that had been powerful, though that certainly lingered in her thoughts; it was the way everything else had fallen into place. They had admitted their feelings, raw and real, and since then, every moment with him felt like a dream come true.

Alexa had never imagined falling in love would feel like this. She had always been fiercely independent, cautious about opening her heart to anyone.

Love had seemed like a distraction, something that would make her vulnerable, and vulnerability was something she'd learned to avoid. But with Jude, it was different. Being with him didn't make her feel weak—it made her feel strong, empowered even.

She wasn't losing herself in him; she was finding herself, a part of her she never knew was missing.

But with this newfound happiness came an undercurrent of anxiety. Could this really last?

They came from such different worlds, and even though they were managing to navigate their relationship so far, the thought of it all coming crashing down was a fear that lurked at the back of her mind. And yet, every time she looked into Jude's eyes, those fears melted away.

They weren't just falling in love—they were building something solid, something real.

Tonight, Alexa found herself curled up on the couch at Jude's place, the flickering light of a movie playing on the screen in front of them.

The room was cozy, warm, and filled with the comfortable silence of two people who were simply enjoying each other's company.

Jude's arm was draped around her shoulders, his fingers idly tracing patterns on her arm, sending pleasant shivers down her spine. It was in moments like these, the quiet, intimate ones, that she felt the depth of what they had.

"What are you thinking about?" Jude's voice broke through her thoughts, soft and low, with just a hint of curiosity.

She turned her head to look at him, smiling at the way his brow furrowed slightly, as if he was genuinely concerned about what might be on her mind. "I was just... thinking about us. About how crazy this all feels, but also how right."

He smiled, that boyish grin that always made her heart skip a beat. "Crazy, huh? I thought I was being pretty smooth."

Alexa laughed, nudging him playfully. "You've been very smooth, Jude. It's just... everything is happening so fast. But it feels good, doesn't it?"

Jude nodded, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "It does. I never expected to feel this way, not so soon. But you're right. It feels right, like this is where we're supposed to be."

She leaned in, resting her head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. "I'm happy, Jude. I didn't think I could be this happy."

He kissed the top of her head, his voice a soft murmur. "I'm happy too, Alexa. More than I've ever been."
