WARNING: Fluff, Remus being Remus, Mention of weapons, Slight Teasing, and Wholesome

Janus's POV: Remus was holding me close from behind while I was cooking which was nice. It felt nice and relaxing. I didn't know what I was going to make for breakfast because I didn't have a plan. I never do when I cook. I guess I just make whatever I make or come to mind. "I have a package being delivered today," Remus said as he let go of me and sat at the kitchen table and was on his phone. "Really? Why did you order more weapons? Bomb? Some weird shit? It's not something dead, is it?" I looked at him, raising a brow. Remus chuckles at me," You will just have to wait and see Double Dee~" Remus said with a smile. I rolled my eyes playfully and continued to cook breakfast which doesn't take me that long cause I never cook anything big cause I don't like doing dishes or cleaning but I have to because I need to keep the house clean plus I have OCD so that doesn't help either I would say it makes it worse because anything I see that seems out of place or in the wrong spot or even crooked it bugs the shit out of me!

Remus's POV: A few minutes later Janus turned the stove off and put the food he cooked on two plates then put the pan in the sink only with any other kitchen equipment he had used while cooking and walked over to the table and set both our plates down and sat down. "It looks delicious," I said, taking a bite. I was correct, it was delicious. Anything or everything Janus makes is quite delicious at least to me and others but that depends on them. If they don't like it, then they are just stupid, and their taste buds are broken if they don't think Janus's cooking is delicious. "You say that every time I set a plate of food in front of you," Janus said before taking his food. "Cause your cooking is delicious!!" I said smiling and then there was a knock at the front door, and I quickly got out of my seat and went to the front door. It was my package, and I grabbed it and then closed the door, locked it, and went back into the kitchen. Janus was watching me as I set the package down on the counter and grabbed a knife to cut the tape so I could open it.

Janus's POV: "Well? What is it?" I asked watching Remus open one of the kitchen drawers, grab a chef knife out, and start cutting the tap on the box. "Close your eyes!" Remus said looking at me as he opened the box but didn't pull out what he ordered or had been delivered to the house. "What? Why do I have to close my eyes?" I asked tilting my head and I was baffled. "Just close them!" Remus said with a smile on his face, and I just signed and rolled my eyes and then closed them. "This is stupid. I don't understand why you need me to close my eyes." I was kind of annoyed by this because I hate it when someone tells me to close my eyes. "What hand do you write with?" Remus asked me, making me more confused than I already was. "My right?" I answered Remus's question, and I heard Remus put the box on the ground, so I am guessing it was empty. "Give me your right hand," Remus said, and he sounded close like he was right in front of me. "No. Why do I need to give you, my hand?" I was not liking this one bit.

Remus's POV: I could tell Janus was hating this, so I was trying to hurry this up, but it was hard when Janus didn't cooperate. "Just give me your right hand," I said and received a groan from Janus. He handed me his right hand and I was holding his wrist and putting something on his finger. "You can open your eyes now!!" I said smiling hoping Janus would like my little gift. Janus opened his eyes and looked at his finger. "A ring?" He looked at me confused. "Mhm! It's a promise ring! And the stone is your birthstone, and I even got you a snake one." I said very happily but Janus seemed confused till my gift. "Do you not like it?" I asked and Janus looked at me. "No, I do, it's just I don't understand why you got me a promise ring?" Janus said and I could tell he felt bad when I asked if he didn't like it. "I got you it because I want to marry you at some point in my life in the future, so I got you a promise ring!" I said and saw Janus blushing when I said I wanted to marry him which made me smile. "Thank you, Mus," Janus said, giving me a smile in return.

Janus's POV: I looked down at the ring and it was very pretty, but I wasn't expecting this at all, so I was a bit in shock. I kept looking at it and something about the ring seemed off. "Hey Mus, where did you get this ring from?" I asked, looking at Remus who was breaking the box down. "Amazon. Why? Something wrong?" He answered my question and looked at me confused. "When you ordered it did it say it was a promise ring?" I said looking back at the ring and then back at Remus who seemed worried now. "I believe so? Want me to check and you can, see?" Remus said I gave him a nod and he grabbed his phone, found the ring, and handed me his phone. I started giggling and Remus was confused about why I was giggling. "Mus. This ring is not a promise ring," I said, giggling at Remus. "What you mean-" I interrupted him before he could finish his sentence," Mus it's an engagement ring," I said giggling and blushing a little bit. "Wait what?!" Remus looked at his phone and was embarrassed and was blushing quite a lot. "I-I'm sorry I-I will return it." Remus took his phone back. "No, it's okay, but I still like it. We can just say it's a promise ring." I said smiling and hugged Remus and he hugged me back.

Remus's POV: I was still in shock that I ended up ordering a goddamn engagement ring instead of a promise ring and I was lost in my thoughts. I almost walked into a tree but luckily, I stopped before I did. Janus wanted to go for a walk to get out of the house for a bit, so we went to the park. Janus was giggling at me when he noticed that I almost walked right into a tree and some guy and woman walked past us," Congratulations!" The two strangers said as they walked past us, I was confused about what they were congratulating us on, but Janus seemed to know because he was laughing. "What?" I said looking at Janus. "Nothing Much, just they think we're married because of the ring," Janus said, smiling at me. "Are you sure you don't want me to return the ring?" I said looking at Janus and we stopped for a second. "No, Mus I like the ring, it's fine plus it gives us both an excuse for people to not hit on us," Janus said smiling and holding my hand I locked my fingers with him, and we continued walking again around the park. I smiled back and even laughed a bit at Janus's answer to my question. I was still in shock that I ordered the wrong ring, but I was not expecting myself to order the wrong ring being an engagement ring!

Janus's POV: After a while of walking around the park we both decided to go back to the house which we did I went to the kitchen and started cleaning the dishes in the sink and Remus was taking the trash out for me which he likes helping me out cause he knows I hate cleaning but I like having a clean house cause I am one of those kind of people who needs everything to be cleaned and neat. Once I had finished raising the dishes that were in the sink I loaded them into the dishwasher, started the dishwasher, and went upstairs to start on laundry. But then I heard a knock on the door which Remus answered, and I guess it was Emile at the door. I paused what I was doing and went downstairs, "Hi Emile." I said in a welcoming tone and smiled at Emile. "Hi, Janus! I thought I would come back and see how you guys are doing plus it's been a while since we hung out together." Emile said as he gave me and Remus a hug. Shortly after I was talking to Emile for a couple of minutes about other things and about my cutting and all trying to work it out, I guess Meanwhile Remus was doing other things helping me still around the house while I was talking with Emile about important stuff that needed both mine and Emilie's attention.
