Charlie could hear the commotion from her bedroom and the only thing keeping her from running to Alastor's side was her father. He stood between her and the door, making Charlie's blood pressure sky high. Alastor asked her to stay here with her father while he took care of whatever was happening outside.

"It's my turn to help you, dear. Please let me remind you why I am here."

"Char Char I promise, he'll be fine! He's not the weak sinner you remember him to be!" Lucifer soothed. He watched his frazzled daughter pace her bedroom floor, waiting for her to create a mote with her hooves. She wrung her hands nervously as she kept looking toward the door behind him. He knew that she knew she wouldn't be able to take him if she desired to bolt for the door, but she very well might try.

"What if he needs me though? What if I wasn't able to heal him completely and he gets hurt?" The more possibilities that ran through her head, the more she considered making a run for the door. Hell, she'll jump out the window if that's what it took.

"Trust me, he is completely healed I made sure-" Lucifer stopped abruptly. Charlie whipped her head towards him, her blonde hair flying sporadically.

"You. What?" Charlie's calm voice and crazed eyes made Lucifer's blood run cold. It was a loud reminder that she was in fact his own flesh and blood. Very few creatures could spook him, but Charlie and her mother were tied for number one. For every bit sweet and kind Charlie was, she was also just as manic and violent if she was pushed to that length.

"Ok, don't be mad." Lucifer took a few steps back as she slowly approached him. Her horns were growing like flowers from the top of her head, the white of her eyes becoming ruby red. He saw that her fangs were elongated, poking past her lips.

"What did you do?" Charlie's voice was lower, the base all the more nerve-wracking as Lucifer considered all avenues he could go down to try and calm her down. The last thing he needed was an enraged Charlie while Alastor was dealing with whatever outside.

"You...may or may not...have blacked out before you one hundred percent healed him."

Lucifer flew against her bedroom window, not enough to go through it but definitely enough to crack the glass. The thing that startled him was that Charlie never laid a finger on him. She shot him across her room on sheer power alone. She was absolutely stronger compared to a week ago. Lucifer felt pride swell in his chest but quickly got snuffed out with fear as he watched Charlie stalk him like he was prey.

"So I couldn't heal him completely?! Are you fucking serious?!"

"Charlie, Vox tortured you before you got to him. You weren't at your max strength! If you were, you would've been able to! I mean look at what you just did to me!" Lucifer spread his hands toward her window that had a spiderweb crack going across the entirety of it. "You didn't even touch me and look at that force!"

Charlie paused and looked at the glass where she slammed her father. She had to admit, she was surprised that she was able to get that much power out. The rage let it explode out of her with no warning. She could tell that she definitely needed training on how to reign it in and control how much power she puts out, but it was progress all the same.

"So wait a minute... did you finish healing him then?" She could feel her hooves cement to the floor, the explosions in the background fading.

"Don't act so surprised." Lucifer grumbled as he dusted himself off and straightened his hat. "I am the one and only Lucifer Morningstar afterall!"

"That's not what I mean. You said yourself that only someone who genuinely wanted him to heal could do so. So either you lied to me-"

"I would never."
