Light beckons and the worlds behold.

When he fashions with his hands, the matter obeys and the whispers of the worlds bow before his omnipresence. The clay morphs into forms not thought of the mind, but of spirit.

On that day, he formed two successors of Life and Death. These two were not realms, but followers, destined one to challenge the increasing Darkness. They were Light's last stand in opposition to the might of Darkness. The creation thunderclapped among the Gods.

But as Darkness increases, its presence follows.

Retribution was swift as man's faulty choices, and Life uncontrolled nearly destroyed Death.

Darkness, plucking Death from the remnants, chose to father Death as its own instrument. Its distortion was unhindered by the youngling's unduly risen mind. Death was easy to sour, but Life housed with Wisdom and took its own path.

Death's oath was this: to discover and bring justice back to the murderer.

Life's oath was this:
