Mother Dearest (TMNT 2014/2016 Poly)

Chapter Three

Isla's head immediately turns towards the source of the sudden flash, but before she could see who it was from, Leo pushes you in front of him in a protective manner, as his shell is faced towards the mystery person.

The brothers begin to whisper amongst themselves, trying to figure out what they should do before Raph acts without thinking...common of him. A yelp of pain could be heard as the person was flung onto the roof, Isla's immediately reaction being to push Leo out of the way to help.

It was April O'Neil again!

Isla carefully knelt in front of her, placing her hand on her shoulder as she looks down at the wrist April was holding. "Are you alright?" Isla asks softly, referring to both what happened in the station and what just occurred. 

April's eyes widen when she looks into Isla's blue eyes with a sense of recognition, "It's you."

Before the conversation could continue, a loud thump lands behind Isla, a deep growl of 'Give me the camera' immediately tells Isla that Raph was the one responsible. April quickly goes to stand, pulling Isla with her as she stares up at the mutant turtle behind Isla. 

Raph unsheathes his sais as he looks down at her with a hardened glare.

"She's so hot, I can feel my shell tightening!"

Both Isla and Raph glance over towards Mikey, unimpressed looks on their faces as Raph comments to his brother that they can all hear him, before he turns back to April, "If you don't give me the camera, I'm gonna-"

"Enough!"

Isla looks up towards the source of the yell, finding Leo had climbed up the water tower before flipping off to land on the edge of the roof behind April, holding his katanas tightly, "Back off Raph!"

Raph holds his hands up with a groan, muttering something under his breath as he walks away towards his other brothers. April keeps a tight grip on Isla's arm as she looks at Leo, her breathing becoming heavy as the blue-masked turtle walks towards them both.

"Ma'am, hello, my colleague here forgot to say please..."

His steps were slow and calculating, like a predator getting ready to attack its prey. His blue eyes flick from April to Isla occasionally, like he was checking to make sure she was alright. 

"So would you please give us the camera?"

April, feeling like Leo had finally gotten too close, steps back to gain some distance. Her hand slips from Isla's arm, allowing Donnie to gently wrap his arm around your waist to pull you off to the side, his hand unconsciously placing itself onto her stomach.

Isla watches as April bumps into Mikey, the poor boy trying to show that they meant no harm by removing his mask, but that only made the girl pass out from shock. The orange-masked turtle quickly catches her before setting her down gently onto a loose tarp. 

They all get closer to check on her, Raph deciding to stay behind with a frown on his lips...he obviously didn't like what was going on.

Donnie begins to check her vitals while Isla pulls out some wrapping from his medical pouch. He decided to teach her a few medical things after the four of them suddenly showed up at her apartment bloodied and bruised.

Raph rolls his eyes as he glares at the female, "Why are we still here playing doctor? She looked at us like we're freaks..." His gaze quickly hardens as he points at her, "I bet that's why she took our picture."

Isla gently wraps April's wrist to prevent any type of sprain from occurring. As she begins to wake up, Donnie began asking a few protocol questions before Mikey interrupts with his own. A giggle escapes Isla's lips as he asks about that cat video where that cat plays chopsticks with the chopsticks. 

April, looking from each turtle to Isla, slowly begins to sit up as she begins to realize that this was no dream. "What...what are you?" Each turtle looks at her as they give their own answers,

"Well miss, we're ninjas."

"We're mutants."

"Well, technically we're turtles."

"Oh! And we're teenagers, but we can still have adult conversations~"

Isla rolls her eyes at Mikey's words before looking back at April as she helps her stand, noticing her eyes were locked onto her, as if waiting for Isla to speak.

"I'm just a pregnant 19 year old who got swept into their madness after they saved me."
